Here is my little draft of Taipei Trip:

my personal views on certain days:

Day 1
Not too sure if there's time for you to go to Taipei 101. Can just go to Miramar and Shihlin Night Market (It's quite big actually.)

Day 2 (Wednesday)
Nan Bing Night Market or Hualien Town (optional) – Are you staying in Ms Liu's Minsu? if yes. you can borrow her bicycles (They usually will offer you) to get to NanBing Night Market and other places. They are just nearby.

Day 4
To get to JGS, there's one bus to get there from chiufen. Just look carefully at the bus signboard or simply ask the friendly bus driver

The other days look ok to me. Not sure of any good pubs/ clubs thou. Nope, I dont think it's a hectic itenerary, and you dont mind spending on taking cabs - time wise will be greatly saved. Eh what about Beitou/ YMS for hotsprings??

Hope it helps.

Hi chuan
Thanks for your reply!

Day 1:
Actually I just want to take pictures of Taipei 101 from the outside only. I dun think I want to spend $$ to go up for the scenery. (heard from my frd that it's not very worthwhile tho)

Day 2:
I am staying at Tai Ping Yang Minsu (dun think u have heard before?)
Very great seaviews rooms and cheap rates with big rooms.
By the way, I have a problem here! I DUN KNOW how to cycle!! So bobian that we have got to take either cab or other transport.

Day 3:
I am going to Jiufen/keelung/JGS/MIAO KOW directly from Hualien to save time on travelling. How do u think the sequence will be like? I am blur on this liao..
Can u advice pls?

For YMS, dun think we are interested to climb hills leh... and as for Beitou, people only go there for the hotspring right? Well both of us dun really find it an enjoyment to soak into hotspring for hour and have to pay 40-60 bucks per pax...hehehhee...

my personal views, again

Day3:
from hualien, take train to keelung station. then follow this sequence => JGS => Jiufen => MiaoKou, all can be reached by boarding the same bus. lastly back to keelung station and take train back to taipei.

Beitou-
on average, one is allowed to bath in hotsprings for around 2hrs. And the hotspring is supposed to be good for ur health, and i find it refreshing and muscles-relaxation after days of walking around. Well, individual preferences

eh for the one i went in XMD....very paiseh i also not sure how to tell ya 'cuz I get lost when i tried to find it again

I know the restaurant is along the street, opposite a small garden/Park. it's not in the XMD shopping area. you'll need to cross the road.

HI,
Actually there are many world class theme parks in Taiwan. The Two Extra special ones are Janfusan and Yamay:Both not close to Taipei and takes a full day to go and come back.

Hey Chuan 3205, You have been doing a great job here answering all the questions from forumers. Fantastic

Forumer Philip Wang recommends:
Ma la huo guo near Xhingmendin I recommend FATAMALA 飛天麻辣西門大奶店 ADD :Ha Chun Street no.155 漢中街155號 near MRT no. 1 ext
TEL:(02)2388-6768
西門二奶店(this one better) ADD :Ci Lin south road no32西寧南路32號 near rainbow hotel
TEL:(02)2370-8787
Another one is Bumabula 怖麻怖辣,just opposite the fatamala above mentioned.

What will you be doing after Jioufen on Day 6.If you like eating,it is then worth the trip to Keelung ( Miaokow Market). Direct bus from Jioufen.
