wondering can i get to sun and moon lake, and taichung area easily from Taipei? must take railway har? roughly how long har?
I remember there's a direct coach from Taipei to Sun Moon Lake. Green City Bus Company

taipei-banciao 40 260
taipei-taoyuan 160 440
taipei-hsinchu 290 640
taipei-taichung 700 1250

taipei-tainan 1350 2230

All prices in NT
more expensive than i expect. btw, to get the price of say taichung to tainan, do we just subtract the 2 fares from taipei or there is another set of fare?

Bad news, i'm down with sorethroat, flu..with its best pals, diarrhea and vomitting..yet leaving on monday..~ gosh...

Btw, where did you find the apple coated with chocolate? xD

It's at Shida nite market but i think quite a number of places have it ...

Board Guoguang Bus at Taipei Station West Terminal, located just west of the big Taipei Railway Station building. Buses depart for Sun Moon Lake at 9:00, 10:00, 15:00 & 17:00. The ride takes 4.5 hrs. and costs TWD465 one-way, TWD840 round-trip.

Tink u misunderstood me.0800 is the morning train, most people take that right for the morning Hualian tour?
