A good Windbreaker will be necessary. It's been 18 C over the last 3 nights in Taipei City.

It depends on your personal level of tolerance for cooling weather. My friends went round just with their t-shirts while they saw Taiwanese all wearing windbreakers/jackets in the streets.

I'd personally just pack a double-layered windbreaker.

Fellow taiwan travellers, I have a few questions:

1. For those who have stayed at Ta Shun and One star before, how do you compare the two? I myself have stayed in One Star before but would like to try Ta Shun because currently, Ta Shun price is cheaper. But is it much further away from the mrt station? My worry is having to drag the luggage a long distance after alighting from freego drop-off point. One star's webstie doesn't show it has triple room but Ta Shun's website show that additional bed is 300NT.

2. Cosmos is very popular hotel right next to Taipei Main station, but will cost about SGD160 for a triple room. What would be a cheaper yet value for money alternative if I want a hotel very near to taipei main station?

3. Anyone been to tofu street? how to get there? Which tofu stalls is recommended there?

4. I briefly caught the ending part of this Ch 8 tv show where Ah Hong was tour guide. They went to a garden with very colorful fields of flowers. Where is that?

Thanks.
