Before you buy shoes and boots elsewhere, you should check out the underground malls Taipei City Mall and Taipei Station Front Mall

For Accessories: Houchezhan

hi nutty, i tot HouCheZhan is located right behind taipei station aka HuaYinJie? or HuaYinJie is another wholesale shopping area?

Hua Yin Jie ( 華陰街 )

Who managed to grab the JetStar offer?
Wanted to grab but was too late. Saw the promo at 11+pm one day before the promo starts. Verify the $156 2-way is available the next day morning. Planned to book in the evening so as to wait for a few friends to confirm. By 12 noon i check again no more $22 ticket for the whole of 6 month!!!!

Lesson learned: Dont wait for friends just buy first.

Hi,

i would like to ask a few questions.

1. how much does it cost to go all the up to 101. and how much more do I need to pay to go out to the outdoor observatory deck.

2. Where and wat are the recommended places to visit and do at the following locations:

- Jinguanshi (only know can see e jap houses)
- Jiufen (other than e old street)
- Rueifang
- Keelung (other than going to Miaokou market)
- Wuali (Other than hotsprings)

3. How to get to Shifen from Taipei MRT Station?
1. taipei 101 is 350NT....if u still wan to go all up to the outdoor deck...pay another 100NT more.

2. Juifen u should try the beef noodles at unit no. 15...nice beef noodles. And also try the popiah lookalike with grated peanut/ice cream roll...very nice...

Ruifang, think basically nothing there.....coz that is the place where u take the bus outside the wellcome store to juifen.

3. Think it is by train and not the MRT...maybe others can verify

Well I guess we have to check the website every night.
Last time I happened to see the offer at about midnight and booked immediately. This time I am not so lucky. Saw it only yesterday but all cheap tickets have already gone.

anyone know of any nice place in taipei to recommend for clubbing or drinking?
Plush
Luxy
Room18 ( by 庹宗康 i think )

or you can try ministry of sound near miramar hotel...though it's not that popular amongst taiwanese.. there are smaller clubs like poison ivy etc.

yeah www.taiwannights.com is a good reference site for you.

remember to bring passport along sometimes for foreigner nights etc.. then cheaper drinks etc...some see you tourist might give special privileges

the clubbing scenes there good cos can easily pick up girls LOL
