Talking

1. Shifen
2. Jinguashi
3. Jiufen
4. Ruiefang (not sure, can do without it since nothing much to do there)
5. Keelung (end off with Keelung's Miaokou Food Street)

I only know this method. maybe others will hv other ways (public transport assumed)

TO go yehliu, u can either take bus from Danshui or Keelong, the plies betw this 2 places. If i remember, bus departs every hour, maybe more freq. if wkend. travel time on bus shd be abt an hour. SO! -

If u going yehliu 1st, either take train to Keelong or MRT to danshui. Then transfer to bus to yehliu. This will take u the better half of the day. yehliu spend abt 2hrs. lunch at yehliu. unless u manage to be super early, then bus to keelong then lunch at miaokou food street. from keelong, there's bus to jiufen / jinguashi. note that jinguashi is just 1 stop further than jiufen (~10 min bus ride). if really wanna explore jinguashi a bit, spare 2-3hrs at least depending on ur physically conditioning. then spare anr 2-3hrous in Jiufen rounding off with dinner & night scene. after which u can travel back to keelong if u insist on food at miaokou again. otherwise, drop off at Rueifang to catch a train back to Taipei.

If you wanna go Shifen, the train is from Rueifang.
Hi, I was told to take Guo Guang bus to Yehliu.

But I dun know how to proceed to Shifen from Yehliu.
And not sure where to proceed after Shifen which would avoid unnecessary duplicated travelling path (if u get wat i means).

If possible, my plan is,
Yehliu -> Shifen -> Jinguashi -> Jiufen (shopping at old street and tea, etc) -> keelung and Miaokou (Dinner - seafood)

But not sure how to get from one point to another.
Sorry, first timer to taiwan so behaving a bit idiotic...

Once my itinerary is done, shall post the link here to download cos it is super long with all e details (with great help frm nutty), 8 pages long... haha...

hope someone can guide me along...
Sincere thanks to everyone who helped!

From yehliu, take bus to keelong, take train to rueifang then train again to shifen.
Nuttyzan suggest going early, so better take his advice as i know train to shifen is v. infrequent.

So according to ur plan of
Yehliu -> Shifen -> Jinguashi -> Jiufen (shopping at old street and tea, etc) -> keelung and Miaokou (Dinner - seafood)

It'll become

Yehliu -> KeeLong -> Rueifang -> shifen -> Rueifang -> Jinguashi -> Jiufen -> Keelong -> taipei

In my opinion, its walk walk see see kinda of plan. No problem if its ur preference.

Well, i like Yehliu as well. wonderful place. Not sure winter time if its too cold to go there. wind is v. strong. I wouldnt go there if there's a typhoon. dunno whether will get swept away by the sea or not. for me, i nvr like keelong town. dunno why, just dun like it. next time i go, i'll rather spend more time trekking jinguashi area. think its quite a nice area and will be cool in winter to do that.

why is there a need to take train frm keelung to rueifang then another train to shifen?
cant i take train directly frm keelung to shifen directly? different trains?

also, i read frm another post that there is a bus plying rueifang, keelung, jiufen and shifen so was wondering if can take bus instead...

wat's e pros n cons of each mode?

paisei for asking so much...
