MRT near airport? Not that i Know of, u can take guo guang or freego buses to Taipei, check with the bus counter at the airport. Once u clear the customs, there will be information counter ard, ask the staff to direct you to Guoguang & Freego counter.

journey ard 40-60mins

2.
Terminal II Bus Platform: On the northeast side of the Arrival Passenger Reception Area on the first floor of the terminal.
3.
Adult single fares vary from NT$110 to $140.

For Kaohsiung you should visit this site for Info on Shopping:
http://invest.kcg.gov.tw/specstreet/homepage_e.htm

Tourist sites:
http://www.kcg.gov.tw/english/touris...de_Tourism.php

Taichung:
http://english.tccg.gov.tw/leisure.php

Once you have an idea on what you want to do, then you can prepare your Itinerary. Nice to see you are planning a reasonable long trip.

The next few days suooposed to rain and the temp will hover between 15C and 18 C most likely. The wind will be cold in Taipei.
