Thumbs up

Laurel Villa:Comes very highly recommended by forumers at TA.
www.laurelvilla.com.tw
You click on the little pink flower on the right to enter the site.

The Farm is supposed to be a very R&R place, Play with sheeps, and enjoy the scenery. Who knows, It coulds snow there this weekend!! Since Hehuan range is -7 this weekend, and Yushan is -10. Alishan is -2!!.
Yes,Laurel Villa is a very nice place to stay if u are planning a trip to Sun Moon Lake. The owner and his family are very friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up for the place.

Mr Lu Charges NTS1800, others charge NTD2000.
Mr Chen is now being a bit big headed since we made him popular so opt for Mr Looi (LU)
Just called Mr Lu. He now charges NT2000 for 1 day tour.
Hualian -> Qing Jing Farm -> Sun Moon Lake : NT7000!

LOL i got my taxi guide name wrong. He is Mr Liu not Mr Chen LOL. I knew his name is somewhat similar to Andy Lau. Anyway i manage to dig out his namecard, apologies for the unsharp photo (shaky hand)

He prefer his customer to call him when they reach Taiwan cos oversea call charges are expensive >.<
Mr Liu charges NT6000 from Hua Lian to Sun Moon Lake.

Correct. Actually most people take the 1051 or 1053 so as to get to Hualien before 10am.
Click on the train code to get the route.

Hi, i stayed at keymans for my stay last month. I like the location and the service is still good. Not to mention that it is also rather cheap. I went taichung but it's nuthin much there. went there onli to buy the Taiyang bing. As for kaoshiung i have not been there but i heard it's not bad.

CNY Yuan Xiao (15th day) usually hv some interesting activities. In taipei area, can travel to shifen area to release heavenly lantern. I did tht some years ago, they've stores & festivities day cumulating in evening program & lantern release at nite. I enjoyed it a lot.

next time I happen to be in Taiwan for CNY, will go southern part to join in the "feng pao". I think its a religious ritual where they build a lot of "castles & towers" made of thousands of firecrackers. These will be set-off. This event must wear bikers helmet and thick clothes.
