My first time in Taiwan

Need advice from bros who been to taipei.

Going to taipei tomorrow morning. What's the weather like over there? Must I bring along thick clothing or just a normal jacket? Btw, the electric plug is the flat two-pins type right?

Thanks for reading

yup...they have the same electric current as US...so 2 pin plugs are used....

weatherwise should be cool... at night would be colder.... no need for jackets or anything special..unless you are those people who are afraid of the cold

Their most recent promo was $68 per trip to taipei, so against that, $310 return looks kind of ex. But when I flew Jetstar there in Jan, I paid slightly more than that and with tax included all came to about $400.

But since July is off-peak, and a long way off from now, I suggest you can wait a while. Who knows, with all this competition among LCCs, the next promo might just be around the corner. And there's always SIA's $98 promo that may make a surprise come back.

sure, I know $68 is before tax, but even with tax included still much less than the $310 he's getting now without promo.

Highly recommended !! Temple Street (Miao Kou Jie) in Kee Lung.

Famous for seafood. and the street alone has over 80 stalls lined up.. If u going to taiwan for food, shouldn't miss this place. I would say it beat Shi Lin Nite mkt. You can even find exotic crabs n prawns.. which u would not see in sg.
2 Thumbs upZ!!

Its takes bout 1 hr plus to reach kee lung from taipei. take railway from TP main station to Keelung. then taxi to temple strt.
