Why do you want to do that? The 1 way journey alone takes about 4.5 hours by express coach.
Sun Moon Lake is the place you should spend time and relax over there, not rushing.

You can take the high speed train (gao tie???). 1hr 40min.
Then something like a bus (ke yun???). 5 hours.
Or train (huo che???). 5 hours.

For the price range, Ke Yun < Huo Che < Gao Tie.

and my friend recommended new shopping mall: Meng Shi Dai.
???

Just came back from Taipei.. weather is hot, hot and hot..but hot weather means "pple" wear lesser.. haha.. anyway i advise those going to YMS, take bus from Jian Tan mrt, ask the mrt staff wat bus to take.. i think is Red 5 bus if i remember correctly, secondly, the toilet restaurant at Xinpu mrt is closed, there is one at XMD but i dont know where, saw it on one of the jacky show.. dont go to Jacky Wu dessert shop in Zhongxiao Dunsheng mrt, its actually tang dynasty, the HK dessert shop.. with regards to the newly opene cable car, please schedule it on a dry day, wanted to go there today but heard on the MRT that the cable car is closed due to thunderstorm which really makes me wonder how safe it is.. Oya, if u guys want to buy those duck tongue, pineapple tart, mochi, can get from the international airport.. dont check in your lugguage first, go up to the boarding level buy liao then check in..ok thats all i got to say..
