Is Kilin, Paradise, Rainbow, Flowers or Paradise hotel ok?

Which is better in terms of service and comfort? Which is closer to the Metro Station?

hi thomass,

you could try gocityinn hotel, located few minutes walk from Taipei Main Station. They are having a promo so a double/twin bed room cost NT1560 per night (no breakfast).

www.gocityinn.com for more info.

Haha. I'm leaving on 25 July and hope to settle my accommodation ASAP.

Thumbs up

oh haha i went to shilin countless times, xing guang shan yue 101 etc, wu fen pu bought 5 berms at 500NT each, Guess x 3 recording, jinguashih, jiufen, keelung skipped ye liu and hot spring cos weather is damn hot, went for a night stay at Jian hu san theme park (prince hotel), ximenting of course, zhong xiao east road area, guanghua elect area, dan shui, fisherman warf for sunset.

Theres a very cheap clothes store along the perimeter of ximenting. very near to Wonstar hotel, Underground or so called basement type where u have to walk down stairs to the store called HI MART. ALL jeans there are just 390NT!!! The cheapest guy clothes i found.

I've got alot to update!!! even found a new method of shoppping in shilin haha. If u been there alot of times u will know where the illegal store holders always hide in which small streets. so u wait around the area once the coast is clear, u just stand there and see wat they have as they parade back into action to position themselves along the streets again haha very fun!

shangsiang,
glad u had fun over there! i read about those illegal street vendors in other threads too, kinda funny. once the police show up, they will pack the whole stall and run to the next street, while telling you if you still want your food to follow them. haha. i think some forumer filmed the process and put it on youtube. lolz.

and thanks for the tip on the cheap jeans stall, may check it out when I'm there!

cloudiax,
if budget hotels are what you are looking for, you can try neijiang hotel. futurestar hotel. iirc, both offer double rooms at 1280NT/1480NT. Positive reviews from other forumers too. Both are in XMD area and close to MRT.

www.futurestarhotel.com.tw (02)2375-5500, (02)2375-52299
www.neijiang-hotel.com.tw 02-2381-2147, 2381-2148

Best you call them direct to confirm room availability, since your dates are drawing closer. don't use the online booking system if any. taiwan country code is 886

yup really, call the hotels instead of using the online booking system. cos when i booked the hotel which i wanted, the website showed 'waiting list' but when i called, they said there are rooms.

btw, i'm also going on the 25th.
