yoz dude~ Which days u book for Wonstar? How much? We tried to book TS Hotel in end Dec but was fully booked too, looking desperately looking for other hotels near ximenting..
Hey...we've booked Wonstar from 19-24 Dec. Its 2280 per night. its not the cheapest room. the cheapest is 1980 i think. Its the 2nd range. This 2280 has bathtub. keke. i dont think the 1980 has.

Here's the shot of our room:
http://www.wonstar.com.tw/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=47&lang=tw

the rooms in Wonstar looks nicer leh. we dont wan too budget oso. dont like hotels in commercial buildings. dont feel like hotel leh. still like a 'hotel' hotel. haha

The hotels in Ximenting I've come across recommended by people in forum would be...not in order of ranking:
1. Rainbow
2. Wonstar
3. TS
4. Futurestar
5. East dragon
6. Royal Castle
7. Rich garden (more ex)
8. Nanjing

got a couple more i think but got very mixed review wan. so never keep them in mind. you better make up your mind soon and book liaoz. most hotels are super booked liaoz.
alternatively can take hotels near taipei main station loh. nicer hotels. only a stop away from ximenting.

That's a good question man. I would like to know the answer too. Haha.

So far I only know that I wanna go there, just dunno how to get there though.

But I read that it's one of the most accessible mountains and seems like got snow somemore.

Anyone else got any idea how to get there apart from by Cab?

yap i called the hotels using starhub IDD. duno how much it cost leh. haha hope not too ex. i find it still the best leh. provided you speak chinese. i tried emailing most hotels take ages to reply. even when they do reply, they dont answer all my questions. over the phone faster.

Wonstar is supposed to fax me a payment form to pay half the amount first as december is hot month so deposit needed. but think other times don't even need deposit wan. will need to fax their credit card details and authorisation. balance of payment will be paid upon check in. cash or credit card oso can.

only my hubby and me going so got 1 double-bed room only.

For reference, FutureStar (quite similar pricing to TS and located in XMD area) charges about NT1380 per night, which is approx SGD$66.. But for FS, they have got this alternate weekday discount of NT200 off per night.. so that would also bring the cost down..
yoz, wat's is e webbie for FutureStar? can we make reservations online?
