kinda better..i changed in S;pore for 1 to 21.2...went to TW on 14th..rate was 1 to 21.78 over there....dropped to 21.60 on 22nd which was my last day..
oh ya I wanna find out more on exchange..
my dad told me to exchange at the TW CKS airport instead of Singapore, but I remember seeing someone posting risky as might not be able to change over at TW ?? any advise?

I'm going in a grp of 5 on 7th - 13th Jan.
Travelling from taipei in 1st 2 days, to Nantou Alishan in next 2 days and kaosiung for 5th day and back to taipei for last night and back to Sgp.

Staying in hostels for 1 whole wk till the last night be spending in a hotel to b nice n relax.
can someone recommend me a nice budget hotel approx 80-120SGD, convenient to visit 101, and some malls and finally to take train/bus back to CKS?

i researched on rainbow and "one star", one star seems nicer. but @ 120/night where rainbow is 91/night.

This is the info from the brochure I pick up, reproduce exactly as what is printed on the brochure. Hope it helps.

1. Take express bus (bound for Jinshan Youth Activity Center) of Kuo-Kuang Co. at its North Station of Taipei City; alight at Yeliou stop. Bus comes every 20min (weekdays 1st bus at 5.40am, last bus at 22.20pm, weekend 1st bus at 6 am last bus at 22.20pm)

2. Take express bus (bound for Jinshan or Tamsui) at Keelung station (near Keelung Railway Station). Bus comes every 10min (1st bus at 5.50am last bus at 22.00pm)

3. Take express bus (bound to Jinshan) at Tamshui station(near Tamshui MRT Station); alight at Yeliou stop. Bus comes every 30min.

The following restriction applies to only hand-carry luggage, and is imposed by most airlines:

Liquids, gels and aerosols are to be contained in individual containers with total capacity not exceeding a maximum of 100 ml each, and then placed in a sealed zip-lock bag with a total capacity not exceeding a maximum of 1 litre.

Note that even if the contents of each individual container is less than 100 ml each, one may have problems passing the customs if the individual containers themselves exceed a maximum capacity of 100 ml.

One way to avoid the above hassle of packing toiletries for your trip would be to check them in with your luggage. That way, the above restrictions do not apply.

Hi All,
It's going to get cold over the next few days , So please dress appropriately when you are here:
"....this winter's first cold continental air mass is expected to hit Taiwan Dec. 29 and to remain stationary for five days.
The polar air mass could cause the mercury to drop to as low as 8 degrees Celsius in central and northern Taiwan and to 12 degrees Celsius in southern and eastern Taiwan, they said."

should be 2) won star @ 118SGD

However, their rooms are not sound-proof. So, while the next room talk too loud, u can hear at times, while @ night.
