the jacky wu shop so crowded, i went there twice, but always never go and eat because have to wait and i dun have the time luxury...never see Yaoyao as well...

if u wanna buy clothes take Mrt to the station, Houshanpi and take a 5 min walk to an area called WuFenPu, there sell lots of street clothes at wholesale prices and are probably the cheapest than anywhere in Taipei. dun buy any clothes from Ximending, shilin night market or anywhere else, they cost double...

Whooo, nice place Taipei. The local prata shiok, especially with the pork floss.

If you want to take the MRT. Get the Easy Card. Trains will get 20% off using that card. As long as you use it at least 5 times, you can claim back whatever balance left. Else you just pay NT20 extra.

Once you come out of the airport, get the tourist pass booklet. You can get 15% off for the bus ride. So you only pay NT105 instead of NT120.

The transit is indeed slightly cumbersome.
But as long as the flight timings are alright and can safely fetch us to and fro between countries, don't really care.. save abit too for other expenses too

Hi lpkor,

Got this package from Richard Travel in People's Park.
When we were almost lost in despair of finding a suitable package for taipei, up pops this agency at a small corner amidst all the foot massage parlours.. ("helo handsome, massage $15 only ok ?" ..yucks..)

Flight is some brunei airlines transit at brunei for 45mins - an hour

Just a little update,

No more rooms avail at kilin.. upgraded to Santos(4* hotel - just next to shilin night market)
Because it is confirmed just today, fuel surcharge is added.
Total top-up is $78
Total cost = S$713

Many people seems to be frequenting taiwan lately.
If the mod is reading, may I suggest to do up a sticky similar to the Bangkok thread. Many thanks.
