I have eaten tai yang bing from a few shops including the so called original ones from taichung. My personal favourite is the one from Li Yi at Jiufen, with a branch at taipei underground mall.
totally agree! I like their pineapple tarts & yam pastry too.. =) and the staff are friendly..

Its a bit rush if you are planning to go Danshui, Yu Ren Ma tou then Shilin if you planning to walk around the Danshui Market also. You should reach Danshui at least 4pm if you plan to see the sunset.

Hi all,

It is my first time to Taipei, will be there for 5D4N at the end of this month. Staying at TS Hotel and taking the Jetstar flight. As follow is my draft itinerary, appreciate if any of you can advise me further.

Day 1 (thurs)
-Will touch down at around 6pm, unsure if Freego or GuoGuang is better
- Explore XMD and if time permits, might want to go Shilin

Day 2 (fri)
- Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall
- Taipei City Hall station area (Taipei 101, New York New York, Warner Village)
- Wu Fen Pu
- Raohe Night market
Q: Need to confirm if Warner Village is anywhere near Taipei 101?

Day 3 (sat)
- Jiufen
- Danshui and Danshui Lao Jie
- Miramar
- Shilin Night market
Q: Has anyone who previously stayed in TS Hotel join the day tour service? I was told that the day tour covers Jiufen. Any idea how long it takes and the areas covered?

Day 4 (sun)
- Long Shan Temple
- Zhong Xiao Fu Xing area (Breeze, Sogo)
- Taipei Main station area (underground mall, Shin-kong, Eslite bookshop)
- Wonder if there is enough time to visit Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall before it closes
- ShiDa Night market
Q: Can I find Shida Night market easily if I exit from Guting station?

Day 5 (mon)
- last minute shopping at XMD
- leave Taipei for home

THANKS!
