If that is the case, I think I will change my NTD when I reach Taoyuan airport.. Hehe...
Thanks..

Btw, can anyone give me some idea, where is the money changer near to at T1?
I am taking Jetstar. Is it inside the immigration or outside after we collect luggage?

Thanks...

my habit is actually to change currency in sg
@ chinatown.
that time when i exchanged was about 1 to 21.7
taoyuan airport was abt 21.3
alternative, go taiwan's atm and withdraw NT using SG atm card.
flat fee per transaction charged by bank, but exchange rate was higher than money changer, tried once previously, 22.08

Anyone can comfirm that Taoyuan has better exchnage rate?

And read somewhere in this thread that in general in Taiwan they do not accept S$ for exchange, only US$. Is it an exception in the airport?

universe : it's not open 24/7
opening hrs shld be 9am-9pm if not wrong
why not head down to chinatown to change?
their rates there r pretty good.

mirage_77 : they accept S$ for exchange...that's for my experience. but money changers are nt that easy to find.

is there a money changer at Taoyuan Int'l Airport? anyone changed there b4? coz as far as I know, you can only change SGD to NT at HQ Bank of Taiwan, not branches, not any other banks. I experienced this personally b4. so i strongly advise pple to change enough NT here if not use credit card as & when possible.

from Taipei ti Taichung, fastest is via the HSR(High Speed Rail aka bullet train) from Taipei Central Station
