please guide me! hahah
Once you collect your luggage, turn left at the arrival hall and you should see several bus coach counters. Kuo-Kuang and Freego are there. Just state which hotel you are heading to.

Hi, just a quick report on taipei
just came back yesterday .

Was terrible for the first 3 days, raining and cold wind at the same time (suggest bring raincoat for those who want to travel to yeliu/jiguanshi)

The Bank are closed on weekends, so whoever plan to xchange in taiwan, pls do it on weekdays or u can pay holiday charge NT200 or 1% or 3% (depends on the banks) to xchange at taipei 101 banks.

the rate is 22.47 the first time i change at the airport with no charge but then got NT30 charge on my way back to buy somethin fr the duty free...,

liquours are cheaper there

there are some summer clothes on sale at hualian nite market at NT100
Tshirts on sale NT99 at ximending but mostly small sizes

it's better to bring US$/RMB/Jap yen there, as its easier to change (all banks and major shopping centre accept these currencies) as for SGD... only certain banks accept this

MUZ try the bachang with soup at ximen (near cosmed)

So far... was a memorable trip..., except for the rain and money xchange..., might be going there again in march waiting for another promotion

Hi xuvilim,

tks for your recommendation. the cheapest i can get is airasia from SIN to BKK at $170 return. the KLM one from BKK to TPE is around $334, which totals to $504, cheaper than Jetstar's $613 for 1 person travelling. for 2 persons promo, it's around $520.

however, the return flight time from TPE to BKK by KLM is 2235. there's no more connecting flight from BKK to SIN :-(

Did i make a mistake somewhere? tks!
hi,

nw jetstar gt free seat promo, 1 way ard $80 only..
mayb u can go/back by diff carrier 2 bkk (either jetstar/tiger/airasia) 2 match the timing
actually SQ also havin promo 2 bkk, 2 to go at $350 if i dun rem wrongly

u juz figure out from those airlines to match the timing ba

as im overnite in bkk, so cant make any suggestion on the flight
hope this'help

oh forgot to tell, the temperature ard 13 deg when i was there (jan 2nd)

I was using the taroko bus tour, there are 2 operator for the bus tour :

1. NT700 with simple lunch
2. NT988 with so-called better lunch

i joined the 988 with 10% discount with the youth card..., they bring us to all the popular spots. drop us at the entrance of the trail n wait for us at the exit..

there's a taxi guy come n offer us a tour also, its calculate base on per person. same price with bus but private lor..., so if 2 person, he asked for Nt900x2 but wihout lunch.
i prefer go out in group, so i didnt go for the taxi tour
