Actually planning for abt 10 days trip. Will try to cover as much as possible. Heard that during winter, they sell mainly winter clothes which might not be suitable for Singapore weather...

that would depend on your agenda, shopping or sight seeing? that would be the best time for hot spring and some nature sight seeing i think.

hmm my friends and i going taipei on jul 1...my friend did the changing of currency at the rate 22.13 at chinatown. might wanna try there.

Any recommendation for a suitable hotel for my stay?

Currently looking at 6 adults and 1 infant.

Looking at the range of sgd 100-120 per nite.

reached taoyuan airport today, exchange rate was 22.11 and travellers cheque was 22.15 at arrival hall.

For those coming over, please note down your accomodation address as you are required to fill a form due to the h1n1 issue, for contact tracing i suppose. i had a hard time finding the address as i have no coins to call....

Thanks for the information. 22.15 sounds better than 22.08 in SG. No harm changing there i guess.

may i check if shifen is still closed? i will be gng in mid july. can i put sky lanterns and buy wooden postcards from shifen? cos i got no time to travel to ping xi or jing tong. really appreciate any replies. thanks alot.

may i check if shifen is still closed? i will be gng in mid july. can i put sky lanterns and buy wooden postcards from shifen? cos i got no time to travel to ping xi or jing tong. really appreciate any replies. thanks alot.
u stil can put lantern and buy wooden postcard @ shifen which i did last yr

thanks dear! like that then i just head to shifen. cos no time for jingtong and pingxi. but any idea if shifen is still closed? cos i remember reading somewhere in june that it's closed.
