BACK!

Hmm... not completely sure if Fei Tian's ice cream is Haagen Daz... we saw the outlet.. went in to recce the spread... but it sure doesnt seem like Haagen Daz to us. Le Ye's buffet is ala carte for the steamboat items... there's a 2hr time limit and each item is only restricted to max 3 times... imo... more than enough time and food....
just got back fm tpe..covered a lot of places in 5day/4nite.. walk till legs gave way..
Anyway, in XMD there is 2 FEI TIAN.. 1 near East dragon( not serving HD icecream.. but think got MJ icecream.. no cakes... cheaper by ard 100NT) the other FEITIAN near TS hotel with cakes and HD icecream)

Taipei Int'l Travel Fair is here again(Oct 30~Nov2nd) NTD200/- entry Fee

There will be international as well as local exhibition booths. Hope our forum friends who will be in Taipei this weekend are able to find some good accommodation/hot spring/travel deals at Taipei ITF! (Prepare for crowds!!) >< Hope you'll all find some very good deals, if not for your own future use, then for loved ones who are planning trips to Taiwan. And I just may be right there alongside, jostling with you for a good deal!(As posted by CC previous years ago )

If you are here over this period, it is worth a visit as they offer directly to clients, deep discounts for SPAs, Accomodations, Hot Springs e.t.c. Vouchers you can purchase at the show and use it later.

TaiwanDIY posted:
Train lunch box (bian-dang) can be purchased from train stations before boarding train, on express trains from staff pushing carts in the trains or from vendors calling out from train platforms during stops at stations. A popular lunch box along the route from Taipei to Hualien is Fulong lunch box.

There is also 7/11 at the Taipei Main Station where you can buy stuff.

Hi,

I am planning to bring my son to 六福村 and possibly a farm stay this Dec. Can some help recommend:
- if I should fly to 高雄 instead of 台北?
- accommodation and transport from the airport to the hotel/民宿
- any good farm stay around 六福村

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers!

Feb is Generally cooler but 13C in Nov is a Cold Morning!!
Like in a really cold Air con room and you cant turn off the Air con. For 13C you will need more than a jacket.
Now a days, it is not just the flu but H1N1and a host of other stuff that will really be troublesome when you are traveling. Stay warm-wear layers. If it gets hot, remove a layer. Thats what we do.
