Was there for a short while, didn't really explore it. Only know there's shuttle bus services to the major MRT stations.

Thanks to all the very useful tips on Taipei travel.

I'll be leaving tomoro morning, Thurs 16th Jun for a week of relak and sightseeing and shopping and eating in Taipei.

I've planned my own little itenery, and will visit Yangmingshan and hotspring, Yeliu, Danshui, Taipei101 and the Guo Fu Ji Niang Tang. Of course will also visit Shilin, XiMenTing and Huaxijie night markets.

Any last minute tips of cannot miss places that I should visit?

You can take Zhi Qiang or Ying Guang Hao (railway train) from Taipei Train Station to Ruifang.

the train ticket (NT80 1 way, 40 minutes ride) to ruifang, after getting out from ruifang station, go across the road and take bus 825 Ji Long Ke Yun (NT19, 10-15 minutes ride) toward jinguashi direction and drop off at jiufen .

It takes abt 40mins bus journey from Jufen to Keelung. From keelung, you can buy Guo Guang Bus tix back to Taipei.

Hope this helps
Thanks, History & Dreamer75!!

yangming shan nothing one lah. You will regret it. Might as will go bukit timah. Because they are almost the same. See tree only. If die die want to go avoid tue as the tourist centre there is closed.

101 too expensive stuff there. But next to it got a few shopping mall. Price wise they are just as expensive. Like what Nakedtoes had said go see the building only

Yu ren man tou is just opp of dan shui. If u got time take a boat over. Very fast nia less than 5min. But that time i went the queue for the boat is terrible. Dan shui can buy "metal" egg(No need buy too much lah not very tasty) and yu shu(fish cracker. Buy more of these instead. Taste better i feel)

Shilin is quite interesting. Try to go on weekend as got more stuff. There is even a small indoor go kart there. See if u can find it haha.

Ok, here's my experience.

Normally, they will record 3 eps in one day (ie, monday...but still better to call 1 week b4 u rch there to confirm). I attended the morning recording which is supposed to start at 11am. Just give them a call to check and say you are from Singapore and want to attend their recording. No tickets will be issued. I arrived at ard 10.30am and waited at their hall. You will get to see a lota pple seating there so u dont miss it! Hehe...met Nakedtoes n frens there too

You will be instructed to proceed to the waiting area just outside the recording studio at 11am. Must queue up hor..! Waited till 12plus then they decided to let us in. Went in and they will make arrangments to seating area. As the time ticks, the guests will gradually stroll in. Rem to take pictures when u have the chance! Esp taking pictures with the stars!!! No pic taking during recording!

Recording only started at ard 1 plus and ended at abt 4pm.

How to go :
MRT: to Kunyang station. Then take taxi to Zhong Shi TV Station
臺北市南港區重陽路120號

Hope this helps

Thanks for the detailed info. It sure helps alot!

They record 3 eps at one go? Does that mean that there will not be filiming every week? Or they show 3 eps a week so everyweek will have filming?

Sure hope can catch it!

They have different recordings for each ep in one day.
Best to call them 1 week in advance.

They show 1 ep per week on every sat in Taiwan.
