not really market, more of pasar malam ...
the fruit stall not very big, not much people go there buy.
guess the mango is quite expensive, one for about 8 to 10sgd

normally would go to carrefour, 10min cab or less than 100twd to the 24hour carrefour which is near ximending. not advisable to walk 15min to there.
the price at carrefour is about 4sgd each for mango ...

Hi.

I will be going to taipei from 17-20 Oct with 3 other adults (including my elderly parent).

Shortlisted these 3 hotels (1 family room for 4 pax)

1) Amba Taipei Ximending - $600++
2) Cosmos Hotel Taipei - $500++
3) Hotel Midtown Richardson - $400++

Can the experts here advise which would be a better choice?

Thanks!

I stayed at Cosmos before, not bad! Good service and breakfast.

Additionally it's very near the MRT station so it's convenient and easy for the elderly.

Just sleep XMD's family room looks good also.
Maybe i should consider that as well.. Based on Agoda, the room is roughly $220 per night.

would choose cosmo hotel ... cox is near tms station
no need to change train ...
just like our city hall

if u r staying at xmd, need to take to tms to change train if u r going to some places ...

unless if u really like xmd, can try Hotel Midtown Richardson.
amba is about 10min walk from ximen mrt station ...

Any recommendations on Hualien accommodation? Prefer sea view and near 東大門 night market. Have checked out one of the recommended, Angel Inn, but they don't have sea view room on the dates we will be there. :s22:

Hi all,

Any budget/nice new hotels to recommend that is around XMD area? My budget is about S$85 per night. Previously i have stayed many times in East Dragon, it is not bad but a bit dated now. I will be travelling alone. Any good ones to reccomend?

How is Hotel Papa Whale? it looks cute. Anyone stayed here before?

What do you think about the location? It seems like a quiet street of XMD that I have never explored before about 10-15 mins to the MTR station. Will be going on my own
