Question about EVA air Royal Laurel class

Hi all, apologized in advance if I posted in the wrong thread.

I am planning for a trip to Taiwan where I am planning to use EVA as my flight. So currently I have enough mileage to do an upgrade my Economy ticket to Royal Laurel class, to have an experience (why not)

But before doing so, wondering if anyone knows for this short flight between Singapore to Taiwan, if I am indeed taking the upgrade to Royal Laurel class, wondering if the benefits of the class (the amenity kit, sleepwear etc) applies in the upgrade too? Fyi, I only got the green tier membership level in EVA

P.S: sorry if my question sounded noob as it is my first time doing such upgrade and of course attempting to go for a higher tier class ..

took eva royal laurel back from tpe in oct
short haul no sleepwear no amen kit
they did allow us to take the sanrio cushion cover though

not sure about the miles needed for the upgrade
but for a more than 4hr flight, it's good to be able to stretch out to catch a wink

Thanks for letting me know. Almost thought that I could have an amen kit but guess that is wishful thinking. Sigh.

Curious though - what determines a short haul flight? Any flights under 6 hours?

not sure what's eva definition of long-haul but i presume it non-regional flights i.e. from taipei to non-asia destinations

not all airlines only give amen kit to long-haul passengers
some airlines do provide it to their premium class passengers even for short-haul flights

Short haul - 30 mins to 3 hrs
Medium haul - 3 hrs to 6 hrs
Long haul - > 6 hrs

I am not sure how much Eva charges for flight upgrades but usually the redemption rates are very poor for upgrades compared to redeeming an outright businsss class ticket

Apparently my points are not enough to redeem a ticket, at most an economy ticket I think. In any case, I got enough for an upgrade (since I missed the opportunity to use the points to offset ticket costs) and hence my question.
