Mecool KM9 Pro 4GB/32GB
What programs do you usually watch with this box?

I think mi box is safe bet, X96 etc. Just get a below $100 box and play with it. Those $200+++ are for gaming etc.

I don’t own box, can’t afford. I still recommend 4G/64G as 2G is slow.
I think I might consider Mi Box S. Decent and affordable with pretty positive reviews.

Anyway why are some Android TV boxes like Nvidia Shield/Pro so expensive? The price is on the high side but reviews are really good too. Very tempting..

Was using ubox previously. Died after 1 year 10 mth usage.
Now using evpad. Loading seems to be faster & less buffering.

Evpad would be a better choice.

Different box have different processor, ram, rom. Yes you can get a sub $50 box but at the cost of the performance. More worst, kena carrot chopped if a sub $50 box worth sold to you at inflated prices. There are many out there waiting to be chopped if nvr do homework.
Get a box that tends to your needs and not overkill. Nvidia shield Pro is indeed a top choice for anyone that knows what it can do and meets their requirements. If you buy it just to watch iptv, it's better off buying a TV stick instead. Small and save space.

depends on your usage.

if you are just running iptv, and movies apps, any 2GB RAM S905x boxes will run as well.

if you are running games, then you need more power, then it is useful to get more power chips and bigger RAM, suggest S905X3 chip with 4GB RAM.

I'm not a very techy person, but for an average user like me, I think it's pretty good! I just watch a lot of movies hahaha

Yes that is true. If you are interested in preloaded boxes, then EVpad and UBox are better choices.

If you want to spend time on installing apps then there are other choices like Mi Box S or generic boxes based on S905X2/S905X3, they are usually below S$100.
Hi Xiaofan, I recently bought a S905X3 box 4/32GB and it runs very cool and fast.

I have good news. Remember the TX5 Max 4/32GB S905X2 I bought earlier and it died? I managed to flash it back to life!

I know why it didn't work previously. That's because when I used Amlogic Burning Tool, I stopped when there is an error while flashing. This time, when there's an error, I just pull the male to male cable out and push it back in again. After about 5 times (in and out), the box was flashed successfully.
