Recommendation for laptop

Am looking for something around 1.2~1.3k
Purpose is mainly for work, and entertainment (videos)... and maybe some light games, preferably with i7
Not sure if its too much to also want a small 128 SSD with HDD, and maybe Nvidia 1050.

Acer Swift 3 SF314-56G.

Intel® Core™ i5-8265U / i7-8565U (Whiskey Lake, most current version)
NVIDIA® GeForce® MX150 (2GB DDR5 VRAM)
8GB DDR4 RAM
256GB PCIe NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD

Good for work and videos (i5+SSD). Light games depends on your graphic needs.

i5 was selling for $1165, i7 selling for $1365 during IT Show in March.

How’s the quality of acer nowadays.?
Is acer better than lenova?
Saw that these two are almost similar in specs and prices.

If used for work , is it better to go for asus or hp?

I7 is about $1285 When I checked it out in March PC show. I am not sure whether to get in cee or pc coming show end of the month.

Actually Ive been reading up apparently the i7 variant is only very slightly faster than i5 esp if Ur a regular user. i7 actually makes it less energy efficient. 16GB is what you want. But usually 16GB comes with i7. The brochure says $1245. Only $40 cheaper than march. https://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/cee/.../#.XOcwUFPmgwB

Hi. I am refering to the swift 3 premium. The latest price list is $1425. I still keep the mar 2019 price list which is stated $1395. At the actual pc show last mar. The price offer was much lower which is $1283.

One of the reason I considered getting it as it has a better graphic and a light weight at 1.35kg. Other brands offering the similar spec are at 1.5kg.

The swift premium is a better buy overall. I think there will be good discounts like the previous time. I got the Asus zenbook 14 though as I was very conscious of the weight (want something really light).

Get the Acer Swift 3 Premium. Asus products are overpriced in Singapore. For Asus, you can get it for cheaper and better specs from overseas.. That's why I will never support them.

Is there a lot of difference between CEE and IT/PC Show, Comex/Sitex?

CEE have only 2 levels instead of 3 levels for the rest of them.

Probably may wait for the PC Show next week if it is much better with more competitors etc..
