may i know when we recontract, the ONT does not make any different right? Mine is the black ONT, and M1 probably won't change it for us.

anyone tried using mobile to access m1 website? Under home broadband promo, there's a promo for xbox one S 500gb for $52, but this page is not shown on the non-mobile website. Wonder if this is the IT show promo for broadband.

2gbps also no use unless your card supports more than 1gigabit.

U should ask yourself this qns if you and your family members required something like this or not.

Either way u are bound to pay full price after 2 years contact(unless u doing early recontract when 21 MTHS is up.)

Most people using notebook and their NIC can only support up to 1Gbps so no point getting 2Gbps plan. Speed is actually same as 1Gbps even if your card can support. I have tried the speed at ViewQuest booth for a few time in 2017 and notice that the speed is the same as 1Gbps. I even use cmd to ping and the ping result is the same as 1Gbps. No point getting 2Gbps.

Currently on singtel. thinking to switch to M1 500mbps at $29.90. is it worth it to pay $5 more for the router? what router are they providing? Dont mind paying a bit more to get everything set up and not buy a separate router and need to reconfigure from scratch. thanks.

True... If ONLY it comes with an ONT with dual port 1gbps open. Then at least some people, like me, can have the option of a dedicated 1gbps port to my server, and the other 1gbps port for everything else as per usual..

M1 is providing the ASUS AC1200G+ router, which you can get below $100 at Carousell

Asus RT-AC1200g+ form past experience the router comes brand new in box and would require a simple setup to be used. It's the same as setting up your own router. Not plug and play like Singtel I think.

Actually gonna ask, how does the speed work? I’m subscribe to 1GPBS but when I do with a speed test, I’m hitting around 300MBPS with wireless connect (even the router is just beside).

So what if I sign the 500MBPS plan, does it means it gonna hit around 100+MBPS?

If i want to jump to M1 from Starhub fibre, beside telling starhub i will not renew their contract, do i need to take note of anything else? Will M1 settle everything for me?

No more 500mbps for $29 for IT show 2018, woh ?

Oops it's available 500mbps for $29, here https://www.m1.com.sg/personal/home-broadband

still considering to switch back to 500mbps or 1Gbps :s13:
because have blind spots in house, currently homeplugs and repeaters settings are not supporting 1gbps, except the Asus 1200+. Will need to change if want to make full use of their 1gbps

Nope. You will still hit 300Mbps wireless as before. The wireless is the bottle neck.
