<$600 Laptop recommendation

you can try 2ndhand thinkpads with decent i5 processors X240 series
try this carouseller ... they have trusted 2ndhand laptop store in simlim...

Can consider at least an i5 system. Those N4xxx will have some limitations, unless purely for surfing/video ONLY. But the difference not a lot if you can find a cheaper deal, i5 still the way to go.

Don't listen to those who tell you sub $600 won't get you anything decent. Singapore prices are inflated and overpriced. Hop over to Malaysia and you'll be surprised to find decent laptops at RM1500-RM2000 range. These are your reputable Acers and Dells and Asus as well. Many due to promotions. Be smart with your shopping and if you can live with such out of the box mindset and approach to get what you want, you don't have to listen to others who told you it's not possible.
totally agreed about out laptop prices.

I went states Best Buy gaming laptops are SGD1.5k and local ones same brand SGD2k+++.

decided to up my budget to 1.2 to 1.3k.

now I'm looking for:

great battery life 7hrs would be nice
SSD - how much gb do u guys recommend?
13 to 14 inch screen
