Would like to tailor some pants.
Budget wise. 200 for 3 pants 2 shirt enought?
would be great if its cheaper.

Can anyone 1 recommend me where to make? :)

I guessed if the standard off the rack suit won't fit then no choice have to do it there. :s13:

I've roughly read thru , Crown / TOT / Jesse is the 3 most mentioned place here.
Is my budget enough ? honestly my first time tailor in bkk too.

TOT is out of the list as its really expensive.

Jesse basic shirt starts from 1500 baht and the pants should be 2000 baht onwards.

Recommend Pinky Tailor for decent workmanship and more importantly, fast turnaround i.e. if your trip is 4D3N. They are conveniently located a stone's throw from Ploenchit BTS as well, somewhere just behind Novotel Ploenchit which I was staying at, so I just had to walk over.

Took measurements on Thu noon, first fitting Friday noon and collection on Sat afternoon. Did four shirts at 1,500 baht. They do have Italian and 100% cotton at 2,000 baht as well but nothing caught my eye.

Reviews on TA that Khun Pinky (owner) is nonchalant is true. He never once acknowledges customers. His wife is also the same lol.

However, his staff are polite, patient and helpful. Went from first storey up to the second storey, then to the third storey, back down to the second storey and finally the first storey again to select the fabrics.

During collection on Sat, saw two groups of sinkies there as well. The fit across the four shirts was pretty consistent.

Will probably do pants and more shirts next year. Was told their pants start from 2,500 baht but only saw 3,000 and 5,000 baht fabrics on the 2nd storey. Maybe the 2,500 baht ones were elsewhere.

Suits are 9,000 baht and 12,000 iirc respectively for the same 3,000 and 5,000 baht pants fabrics.

What I like about them is that they don't collect the full sum but a 50% deposit on the first occasion.

i think there is...I remember reading about them but I wasn't convinced with all of Amari's shops.

Anyway I've just receive quote from Crown tailor.

Starting price for a basic suit at 5500THB. I'm waiting for Boss Avenue and Pinky's reply.

It suits my secondary budget. Primary budget at Jesse doesn't change. :P

Anyway here are some details which both Crown Tailor and Boss Avenue has emailed me.

Crown Tailor
1300 THB for basic shirt, inclusive of cuffling, collar etc. Internal contrast then additional 150THB
1300 = 80% cotton/20% microfiber
1700 = 100% cotton
3000 = 100% 2 ply, imported cottons
2000 THB for basic pant

Suits -> 5500 THB

Classifications of price and what materials you'll be getting:
5,500 THB = 100% microfiber
8,500 THB = 50% wool/50% microfiber
11,000 THB = 80% wool/20% microfiber
16,000 THB = 100% pure wool

Boss Avenue
1000 THB - Pure Cotton
1150 THB - 1 ply Cotton
1350 THB - 2 ply Cotton
Free Internal trimming, and etc.
Price for the shirt are inclusive of inner collar and cuff contrast fabric, different buttonhole and different color of buttons available etc…

1200 THB - Polyester pants
1500 THB - Wooled mixed with cottons
1800 THB - Pure Wool

Price range for the Suit as follow:

For Suit (Jacket + Pant), price start from THB 4,000 for a polyester type fabric.
The mid range quality Wool blend with cotton price starts from THB 5,500 and the fine pure wool fabric no polyester from THB 7,800.
For a 3 piece which can be (Vest or an extra trouser) the extra cost would be respectively Polyester type Pant is 1,250 / Vest is 1,400 : Wool blend with cotton Pant is 1,500 : Vest 1,700 : pure wool fabric no polyester Pant is 1,850 / Vest 2,000.

Brought my fiancé to Crown, Boss and Jhasper fashion. in the end choose Jhasper! They have the best service among the 3. Very friendly and patient. We wasn't able to go for the fitting as we are away for tour the next 2 days and they closed at 8.30. Just nice they have a customer suit that are around the same measurement as my fiancé so they let him try and based on that to go ahead with his suit. It fit nicely and pretty good workmanship. We are impressed. btw, suit 7k baht, shirt 1.2k baht and change of nicer buttons on the suit 1k baht.
