I remember some uncles and aunties at void deck with their individual wrist full of HPB fitness bands and shaking non stop to clock mileage in order to earn points for vouchers.
i am not old unit or uncle but I do wear 3 trackers at any time.

Govt will say at least they are honest about this.
Understood the laspe, will implement new regulations which will rectify this shortcoming.

I am sure the government knows that not everyone, not just lau funkers and lau funties but also yoomers and zoomers, would start exercising or walking 10K steps daily even with a fitness tracker.

According to HPB, only about 13% of Singaporeans exercise.

But we hope to encourage more to do so.

It looks like a lot of money but the question is, can we afford it? If we can, I see no reason why we should not spend a bit....when it is spending within our means.

tell me what's the importance of this news if sinkies do not find anything wrong
There is nothing wrong because the government spent well within our means.

If it had squandered our monies, Singapore would have been crawling to Malaysia for help and begged Muhyiddin to take us back last year. The pandemic would have wiped us out.

"falsification of quotations, alteration of hard copy payment supporting details and the creation and backdating of documents" are all identified as fraud or cheat.

Simi honest mistake? Should send those people to jail.

Exactly this. These 'lapses' aren't honest mistakes. They are fraud liao
