I think CI is reasonable not to pay out for this case, since is technically not v critical. Actually maybe even early CI also cannot claim since is benign

It really depends on the type of coverage. From what I understand, an Integrated Shield Plan is an add-on to MediShield Life, offered by private insurers. So the exact terms, conditions, and what is covered will vary across insurers and plan tiers.

In this case, if the condition involves a benign tumour, a CI plan would not usually pay out since it’s not considered life-threatening or severe enough to meet the CI definition. An integrated shield plan, on the other hand, could cover the hospitalisation or surgery costs if the treatment is medically necessary and falls within the plan’s coverage.

So it’s reasonable that the CI plan didn’t pay out, but whether the IP does would depend on the specific policy details.
