its been 3 mths since I started soliciting for some advice.

The HDB cheque cleared into my account on Thu and it was in excess of $400k.

Now wondering about what to do with the money as I don't believe the US market has bottomed and neither do I believe STI is resistant to a crash.

Both bonds and stocks are down so also don't know what to buy. SSB is still pathetic.

I already used $30k to top up my son Medisave to 65k (almost max already). a gift.

Also transferred additional $50k to Tiger brokerage for standby.

Don't know what to do with the rest of the funds. CPF OA is full as in there is no housing loan owned as part of the sales proceeds already went there.

Also waiting for opportunity at a certain condo... but no desirable units yet.

Anyone has any ideas on what to do?
Maybe VWRA now that its dropping?

I just used 101k to apply for ASTREA VII A and another 70k for the USD tranche....

4% and 6% good enough for me 😊
Recently stocks price drop alot. Good S-REITs dividend around 5-7%, there are 9% and above but high risk. Banks dividend 4-5%
Just my 2 cents

US stocks drop BUT nowhere near the bottom. low VIX and no capitulation. probably slow death till end of year.

will only consider going in when VIX goes into mid 30s at least

US Market currently is very volatile, this month down, next month maybe up, so it's not easy to time the market. I will rather buy when I feel it's is cheap or undervalue.
