I am interested for something similar to ASRock X870 Riptide WiFi as it have 4 slot nvme gen 4 compatible
The ASRock X870 Riptide WIFI of the Phantom Gaming series features a 17-phase power design, a single PCIe Gen5 X16 slot, and only 3 M.2 slots (1x Gen5 + 2x Gen4). This board is aim to be more budget-friendly in the absence of more, higher-end parts.

Total nVME Slot = 3 not 4.

I think most people looking at gaming will likely wait for the X3D variant.

Any x870 boards with at least 5 nvme slots? My current board has 5 nvme and 7 sata ports

If all the nvme slots are coming direct from the CPU, the max is 4 slots (while leaving x8 for GPU), CPU got 28 lanes of Gen5, 4 lanes is used for I/O chipset(s) leaving only 24 lanes, so 8 (GPU) + 4 (nvme) + 4 (nvme) + 4 (nvme) + 4 (nvme) is possible. Gigabyte X670E Aorus Xtreme has this configuration.
If you are using chipset I/O, there is a bottleneck as chipset to CPU bandwidth is only Gen4x4, if you plug one Gen4x4 SSD into the chipset, all bandwidth available on the chipset is used up.

What about pcie4 nvme slots? I don't really mind not having pcie5 nvme.

I'm asking for something equivalent to my current mobo. It's a z790 msi wifi edge with 5 pcie4 nvme and 7 sata ports. I thought amd high end chipset should at least match that config

If need more full lanes nvme, must buy hedt boards

i see x870/e, motherboard coys have changed perspectives. Seems give 1 gen5x16 for gpu and 1 gen5x4 for nvme.

The other gen5x4 in x670e, now becomes 2 gen4x4, nobody buys gen5 ssd! Like nobody going to buy ryzen 9000, all wait for 3D refresh.

The x870 usb4 seems to take up one gen4x4 from amd spec sheet, and usb4 runs through shared chipset lanes :o

Additional Usable PCIe Lanes from Motherboard
X870E 8x Gen4
X870 4x Gen4
X670E 12x Gen4
X670 12x Gen4
B650E 8x Gen4
B650 8x Gen4

The Asrock Tachi has 8, 4 being from an addon card. Have to wait for the reviews to see whether this card has a bifurcation chip.

(I know HWU says 10. It is 8.)

I really hope that is not the case as that will take up 40Gbps of the 64Gbps available on the chipset link to the CPU (multiple high bandwidth devices connected to the chipset will be fighting for bandwidth).
I would prefer something like "B650E AORUS PRO X USB4" where the USB4 chip is connected directly to the CPU x4 lanes (refer to page 5 of the manual).

Zen 5 is looking pretty impressive ....

Doesn't matter if it's impressive because Intel is dead already. Consumers have no other choice.

Intel faulty CPUs out of the box and experiencing extreme degradation.

@Dr.Vijay btw, i can't link a video or any element that has the F word in the url, pls tell dev to first identify if its an element (media, img) etc, before censoring text

AMD has become the Intel of our generation, there's a reason why no price release yet. :( Probably going to gouge us.

I won't be surprised if there is a high launch price. AMD prices do tend to drop quite substantially over time though.

Actually, I am more concerned about the MB prices. The 670 series was exorbitantly priced on launch and hopefully the 870 series will not repeat this "feature".
