would also just want to ask, if I have LAN points in every room and floor and I just connect the mesh or TP-Link HB410 router (WiFi 7) using LAN cable in different rooms or floor, the wifi should work well too right?
instead of having to install AP in the ceiling

it depends on where you are placing the HB410 within the level. WIFI signals will degrade when passing through concrete walls so if your HB410 is placed in a corner on the level, you will likely have very poor or no signal on the opposite corner on the same level. eg, if you place the device on the south-west corner, the room in the north-east corner on the other end may not have good signal coverage.

placing the device in the middle of the level technically can provide better coverage but again signal quality will degrade when passing through walls.

APs on the ceiling will also have similar issues but since they are casting the signal downwards radially, it might be better than a AP located at 1m above the floor.

So for your case if you don't want AP in the ceiling, then you may need more HB410 or similar devices on each level. I would suggest don't bother with trying to do mesh as mesh network will work best when there's line of sight between the devices. If there's multiple walls between the devices, the mesh will not work well. Just plug the devices into LAN points and use wired backhaul for best performance.

With this said, plan for at least 2 LAN points in each room so you can play around with the placements of the WIFI devices for optimal performance. Remember to provision for 13A socket(s) next to the LAN points as well so you can power up the devices.

Why need LAN point? My previous 3.5 storey house just use google nest. It works well, less cluttered also.

How many lan points do you have in your home?

I’ve planned out 21 lan points thus far, not sure if that’s enough or if I need more

17 LAN points
4 ceiling points for APs
7 telephone points which can be used as LAN points as well
I use a 24 port POE switch for the 21 points with 2 to spare after using another one as link to the router.

if you have at least 2 in each room and another 1 or 2 extra for where you are planning to place your entertainment devices then should be ok. Worse case is if you need additional points in any specific location can use a small 5 port switch.

Btw do you all install exhaust fans in your toilets? All of my toilets have windows but am considering installing exhaust fans still, just that I can’t find any that are aesthetically pleasant

if your toilets have windows, they can be naturally ventilated so no need exhaust fans. exhaust fans would be recommended for toilets which are in the middle of the house with no direct opening to outside.

i installed 5 sets of solar CCTV with wifi function. Pretty good i must say. Each CCTV comes with 2 cameras. One fixed and the other with the ability to turn 270 degrees.

this brand?

https://uboxcam.com/solarcam-products/dual-lens-camera-4g-wifi/

Just curious where are you storing the footage and does the camera run out of power when there's no sun/insufficient light to charge the batteries for a few days (eg: during monsoon surge)
oh ya.. that is the one. Comes with a SD card and you can also activate their cloud services which is like 10 bucks per year, i think.

One full charge can typically last a few days.

if 10 bucks a year for the cloud storage is very worth it. any storage/retention limit?
also how is the video quality?
