Hi i got a question.

when i tried booking online on USS japan. i saw the price was 7,200 yen which is quite ok with me.

but i noticed there's an express pass with harry potter and spider man and etc.

you mean to say you need to buy entrance tickets and get an express tickets to get to experience the harry potter place??

i totalled it up and its aroun $330 for 2 people. WOW thats expensive.

is this normal? can i any means get it cheaper?

Express pass means you get to skip the queue for those attractions, i.e. pay extra to queue less.

there is a rather active USJ thread you can go read through.
http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/japan-271/question-harry-porter-world-usj-4849547.html

TL;DR version:
you can obtain a timed ticket to Harry Potter world on the spot, but that is entrance to the area only and not for any ride.

express pass is like disney fastpass, where u can cut the queue, but a paid version. queues in japan are quite scary. easily 1-2 hrs for each ride, and for popular ones, people will queue for 3-4 hrs. if you do not buy the express pass, on average you can do 3-4 rides in a day. so the question is, are you willing to pay more to cover more?

Tokyo Disneyland One day Pass E-ticket

Has anyone tried buying Tokyo Disneyland One day Pass E-ticket that cost $55? Its valid for 5 days from date of purchase. This e-ticket will be sent to email account, print-and-use.

Whats the diff between this e-ticket and those $80+ ones I got from agencies, any limitations?

We are doing self drive from Kawaguchiko to Hakone and back (day trip). Last stop Gotemba outlet before heading back Kawaguchiko for our dinner.

Along the way, interested to go Fuji Safari Park. Thereafter to Hakone. Is the pirate ship worth to go onboard? What else interesting at Hakone for half day trip? Pity cannot go up Owakudani area.

Hi dimitri, i would like to ask you a few questions. Just to let you know i'll be landing and departing from Narita airport and staying in Shinjuku for 6 days. Will be travelling in mid May. And me and my wife are Muslim travellers.

1) Do they sell SIM cards there so that i can get data connection? Or what is the best way to get data connection? Saw this website - http://www.pupuru.com/en/

2) I'm intending to get the NEX pass which is 4000yen/pax. Is that good?

3) I would like to go for this. Is this a good deal? http://www.japanican.com/en/tour/det...KA/?typecd=TOU

Lastly, if you'd like to advise me on anything please do so as it's our first time travelling to Japan. Thank you in advance :)

Are you "no pork no lard" or strict Halal? If the latter, make sure you plan your eating places properly, you don't want to be hungry at noon and walking around randomly and not knowing where to go.

Yes we've done our research for the Halal food places. Surprisingly there's quite a lot of halal places to eat. Thank you :)

From Narita Airport to Hakone

Hi,

Please comment, is it feasible from Narita Airport to Hakone upon arrival?

1) From Narita, take NEX (Narita Express) to Ofuna ==> Odawara (buy Hakone 2 days free pass) ==> Hakone Yumoto.

Thanks in advance:flash:

If you stay in Shinjuku, NEX can be very convenient. But its also one of the most costly means to reach Tokyo. If you want to save more, can try access narita bus
http://accessnarita.jp/en/home/
They dont have dropped off points in Shinjuku but at Ginza and Tokyo stn. But they cost 1000yen one way only.

data sim can consider this:
http://list.qoo10.sg/item/8-DAYS-SIM-3-0GB-JAPAN-PREPAID/438767323
allows tethering. But watch out for the expiry dates.
Or if you are a M1 user, request for datapassport turn on. $12 for 1st billing cycle month. use your subscribed data plan.
https://www.m1.com.sg/datapassport

another is order from Amazon jp
http://www.amazon.co.jp/b-mobile-VI...452&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=b+mobile+preaid+sim (max 1GB for every 3 days)

or this
http://www.amazon.co.jp/So-net-Prep..._SL500_SR135,135_&refRID=0RW53AA7P12DDD0XKS46 (personally used it on my Iphone6, worked as advertised, can tether, fast LTE speed, no daily cap but max out at 2GB)

8am at Narita Airport.

u can take NEX to shinjuku and get the hakone free pass from there. the 5140yen pass covers the round trip from shinjuku to hakone.
however, it is on the slower odakyu express train which takes 1.5hrs from shinjuku to odawara. if u dun mind paying more, shinkansen from shinagawa to odawara is only 30min
