Hi guys. I have this old motherboard of mine and I am trying build a system for fun. What I encounter is this error time and time again. What did I do:
Cleared cmos. Took out battery. Check all connectors. I searched online and they talked about placing a jumper on the chassis detection pin but looking at the user manual, there is no such pin.

Any idea how I can overcome this problem?

Thanks a lot!

Look on your board near the bottom. There will be a cha_det header.

Look at the bottom near the case headers. There's a jumper there and a space for another jumper where you can use a screwdriver to bridge it

Blank
eh wait the official product photo also blank  why ah

confirm three things:
you tried the battery remove for 1 min thing already right?
is your mobo mounted on standoffs? (it should)
got try shut down and unplug power cable then hold down power button for 20 sec or not?

EDIT: removed the unsoldering fix possibility. the page i was reading was referring to another specific mobo with the same problem.

Try Liao. Remove battery one min. Mount on standoff Liao.

But weirdly ah. The mobo below the holes doesn't align to my casing. Never screw in all got problem one ah?

One more thing. I don't have back plate. I Duno throw go where Liao. Backplate will affect not ah?

your case is for mATX mobo is it? if the standoff touching the mobo that's not the screw hole then cannot liao either you remove the standoff that's not aligned (and risk the mobo bending in those areas) or get a case that mounts ATX mobos.

the backplate (is it the one cutout with the usb and sound connector ethernet etc? io shield) not an issue.

You got take out and put on the mobo box (or anything that's not metal) and try the power button thing?
