It is a pity that Asus has not brought in RT-BE96U (triband BE19000, dual 10G ports, with high-end BCM4916 CPU, 2GB RAM) in Singapore.

Right now if you need 6GHz WiFi 7, then Asus Singapore has only the following options.
1) High end quad band BE25000, dual 10G ports: ROG GT-BE98 and ZenWiFi BQ16, with high-end BCM4916 CPU, 2GB RAM.

2) Mid end ZenWiFi BT10 (triband BE18000), dual 10G ports, with mid-end Broadcom BCM6755/6754 CPU, 2GB RAM. List price from Asus is at S$699 for one unit and S$1299 for two units. But the Carousell price is much lower at about S$800 for two units, since M1 users are dumping them.

3) Mid-low end RT-BE92U (triband BE9700), with mid-end Broadcom BCM6755/6754 CPU, 1GB RAM. list price from Asus is at S$399.

Contact MR for help. It could be the ONT probelm or even Fibre cable problem.

There is a report from Stathub thread that the Fibre cable is the problem. Previous reports say the Nokia XS-240X-A (main Starhub) or Nokia XS-250X-A (mainly MR) ONT may have quality issue. But later reports say that the Fibre cable which comes with the ONT may be the issue.
It seems there might be some conflicting Wi-Fi signals.

I tried turning off the Asus AX86U router, hoping the new router would seamlessly connect to the devices, but unfortunately, it didn’t. The logs also indicate Wi-Fi deauthentication errors.

Having limited networking knowledge and not fully understanding even after consulting ChatGPT doesn’t make things any easier.

haha .. got not much of a choice at the moment and the BE92U is the best option that I have so I'm trying my best to make it work.
Have you try the lastest firmware? After update try to reset router once and check again?

i'm planning to do this later once everyone's asleep. couldn't find any time to do it since they are all connected to the internet.
otherwise, i'll probably check in with Asus' support.

update:
did a factory reset and it did fix the issue .. :)

Yes you can get RT-BE88U China version if you are okay with no local warranty. If you do not have 10G wired device, then RT-BE86U can also be considered. China version is much cheaper than local version and they HW/FW are basically the same.
https://www.asus.com.cn/store/gallery-476.html

RT-BE88U dual band BE7200 --> RMB 2049 (one 10G RJ45 port, one 10G SFP+ port, quad 2.5G ports, quad 1G ports, fast Broadcom BCM4916 CPU, 2GB RAM)
RT-BE86U dual band BE6800 --> RMB 1749 (one 10G RJ45 port, one 10G SFP+ port, quad 2.5G ports, quad 1G ports, fast Broadcom BCM4916 CPU, 1GB RAM)
TUF-BE6500 dual band BE6500 (quad 2.5G ports, mid-range Qualcomm IPQ5322 CPU, 1GB RAM) --> RMB 799. This is a good option if you want to have low cost even though you can not fully utilize 5Gbps bandwidth.
how about getting 2x HB710 from SH to use with M1?

So all consistent? Speed wise it is okay in both 5Ghz and 6Ghz? Did you notice if you have 1 cpu at full?

i just got the Asus RT-Be92U .. i was wondering if there's a specific settings on the router to improve the wifi 6Ghz connection? It's weird that when I shift to 5Ghz, my laptop's full bar and tops at 900+ downstream/upstream.

If I shift over to a 6Ghz connection, my laptop can only get like 2 bars of wifi signal. The tops that I can get is around 500-600 downstream/upstream.

The router is just position beside the TV which is probablyt 5 feet away from where the laptop is.
Wow, what model is your TV ? I didn't know smart TV now comes with wifi chip that supports 6ghz 😮

Edit: my bad misread the post, really thought tv also have 6ghz wifi chip liao

It will work, but not recommended unless you want to take a bit of risks. Basically you are on your own.

HB710 is a TP-Link service provider models with the FW more or less tied to the ISP, even though there is a report saying that one M1 user is able to get FW updates.

I'm curious, what's the difference between ROG Rapture GT-BE25000 & ROG Rapture GT-BE98?
I do not find any difference betweent the 2, or perhaps did I miss something out?

yup .. all good esp wtih the 6Ghz connection. Only problem now is the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K is unable to connect to the router's wifi but other than that, all's good. :)

you can try to go network tab create a non wifi 7 band network for your tv stick (can use kid network or IoT network) using AX wifi 6 of 2.4ghz or 5 ghz.

ideology: ability to upgrade with the latest every year by spending less on good-enough router like the RT-BE6500 compared to RT-BE88U?

Interesting updates from Asus in CES2025:
ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI --> Asus Showed Off First AI-Driven Gaming Router
https://dongknows.com/asus-rog-rapture-gt-be19000ai-gaming-router-review/

Looks like using the same Broadcom BCM4916 CPU, but with much larger RAM and Flash to run edge AI.

Wireless spec (triband BE19000) it is lower than ROG GT-BE98 (quad band, BE25000).
Wired spec and ports --> same

https://rog.asus.com/networking/rog-rapture-gt-be19000ai/spec/
Processor: 2.6GHz quad-core processor
Memory: 32+16 GB Flash and 4+4 GB RAM

Hi experts! Got a BE6500 (DB box), and looking to pair it with another lan-connected Asus for mesh as connection not the best in MBR.

was wondering if the BE3600 is better or 灵耀魔方 WiFi7 (looks better when placed in the room). Both are WiFi 7

Either one should be okay as an AImesh mesh node using Ethernet backhaul.

I tend to believe Asus TUF-BE3600 will have better wireless coverage than 灵耀魔方 WiFi7 (aka Asus ZenWiFi BD4). But I understand that many people may like the form factor of ZenWiFi BD4.

灵耀魔方 WiFi7 (Asus ZenWiFi BD4) spec: seems to be quite a bit lower than TUF-BE3600 (CPU, RAM, LAN ports, etc), but I think it should be fine as an AImesh mesh node.
