He survived the ordeal... But his quality of life is badly impacted.. 3 years in jail in this case is way too mild..

now we all know, car + alcohol + badly Injuried/killed = 3 years changi. Which means next time you want to "unintentionally" murder/injure some bugger that you hate, also can Siam the life sentence sibo? Don't use knife and slash la. Smelly 20 years jail.. Just save money buy a car and ram them down.. but before ram them, make sure you can hold your liquor well to drive all the way to them and ram them

she has to think of her own future as well
or will she still be faithful enough?

perhaps remain as good friends & imo it's alright for her to move on since they're not tied down or anything

:o
Cannot blame the girl if she wants to move on, I agree with you

the guy also won’t want her to suffer her whole life

Horrible! The punishment can never be enough and appears too light for the hurt caused

Very sad for him. One forking idiot and his life turns upside down.

I know this is insensitive, but there's really a case for pushing euthanasia here. If doctors have assessed he probably won't recover, why burden his family for the rest of his life, and beyond them?

If I am the victim, I won't want this to happen. And to spend the rest of my life incapacitated like this. :(

I read the part where the brother said the driver never came to look for them to apologise.

After destroying someone’s life and leaving his brother in a vegetative state, the driver acted like nothing happened. Not a single word of regret or apology.

I hope karma finds its way to the driver.

should go one step further - give euthanasia to the driver as well

The punishment was a joke. Drink and drive is equivalent to attempted murder

The sentencing is ridiculously low.

Sometimes I wonder - if, just if today the victim is the son of a minister/judge/senior politician, will the sentencing be so lenient?

Will the speeding drunk cheongster get away with just 3 yrs jail after the ruining the life of a young man whose entire future is shattered and no diff from being dead

Road killers, am I right?

The driver actually should be hung la, make it so that he has 0 chance in the future to cause the same to happen to another innocent victim. Our justice system failed the victim hard, at least the driver should be made to support the victim for life.
