Their e-gates are quite unreliable. Personal experiences, they fail about 2–3 out of every 10 times. Usually, the first attempt fails, but the second attempt works or I just switch to another gate and it goes through.

no, i saw the manual Q was quite long, and i approach them who is manning the access into the egate side and they just tell me go manual.

egate was rather empty lo.

but anw, luggage got delayed due to heavy rain, so egate or not, outside also have to wait lol

my flight reach BKK 530pm.

manual Q was quite long, think we Q for around 30 mins.

in the end, heavy rain and luggage was delayed, so we got our luggage only after almost 1 hour 45 mins after touch down.

Which airline ?
Normally SIA and scoot luggage come out quite fast especially those airlines under star alliance.

SQ, it was heavy thuderstorm after we touch down. so weather wise, no choice la.

yes, it depends on the officers there, some will just let you go

Tiagong now bkk airport need to queue at least 3-4hours for manual queue.

E-gate failed when entering, departure e-gate ok. Believe you need to use manual once in bangkok.
The manual counter slow because the other traveller so stupid, dont want join the queue at other lane. I need to ask those infront of me to go and the queue was fast...less than 20mins. I recommend go manual q at the most left as possible, far in.

I frequent krabi and their system not link to bangkok. Krabi no issue, the krabi immigration didnt bother to check the arrival card or take my prints and i frequent go there.

Tiagong now their immigration really very on. Alot of passengers got NTL due to not enough cash, outward ticket, no hotel booking etc till their holding room not enough space.

There has been a lot of reports in this regard from Chinese visitors. Probably Russians and Indians too.
