For a rough gauge comparison, my entry term life age was at 26.

I am paying slightly less than 1k per yr for 500k coverage of death and tpd, 200k for ci till 65

I am also covered till ward A but without riders. My hosp plan is paid fully out from medisave and do not need to cough out cash.

is yr adviser good ?

i think one of the main concerns abt buying term is that may find it difficult to make claims when the time comes... because most ppl who buy term buy directly instead of thru agents nowadays?

have not make any claims yet

claims processing is done by the insurer, not the agent

Dear All!

Please help me with your very kind advice!! I have not been getting much insurance coverage so far and I am 32yo with a young kid now (non smoker). I was recently introduced to AIA and is now within the free look period to get the below policies. I wanted coverage on dealth, accident, TPD and CI. REALLY appreciate if anyone can provide some kind guidance.

1) Term Plan (AIA Platinum Term) to 100yo at $4400/yr with guaranteed dealth payout of $1.2mil.

2) Triple CI at $2500/yr for $100k of early terminal illness and can claim up to 3 times. Before 75/yo if no claim can take back 75% of premium paid.

3) hospitalization plan for class a Ward at $600/yr

4) accident plan at $290/yr

Please help me as I am really not sure if these are overpriced and I have only 7 more days to freelook period! Thank you so much for any help!
Hello,

1. First, there's nothing fantastic about AIA. In fact, it is among the most unethical and one of the most expensive insurer in my personal experience.
2. Do not buy anything that you do not truly understand.
3. If there is no penalty on your side for exercising free-look, why not free-look first and then reconsider carefully if the plans you bought are really what you want.

AIA has the triple CI early stage coverage that is about $2.5k/yo for $100k. If there is no drawdown by 75yo you get about 75% of ur premium back. Sounds like a good plan to you?

why not 100% since you did not make a claim?

guaranteed back also?

2.5k premiums for only early CI?

imagine the total premiums add up for other types of insurance

40 years later 75% of that actual value is diminished due to inflation.
Get peanuts.

MAnulife's new Ready CompleteCare covers more at lower cost. Death benefits pays back 100% premiums if no claims were made.
Can choose either cover till age 75 or 99.

Make a wise decision.

This sounds like a great plan. I am going to ask for a quote.

The only con I can see for this manulife plan is that for the same CI you can only claim 100% of the insured CI for all stages. For the AIA one it was 100% for each stage of the CI or in other words 300%. But of course best thing for manulife is can take back 100% premium paid!

Appreciate if anyone can share more good CI plan!

The 3.25/4.75 is the benefit illustration of the PAR fun returns right. But a lot of agents said insurers are given 4.75%. If the specific insurer unable to give 4.75%, no one will buy from that insurer.

various agent here, can I verify??
