Then I am not so sure. I have not tried this myself.

Edit: It is probably better for you to do this from the Android DAP and use WeChat Wallet.

But how did u purchase on iphone? I will try the iphone method

Something like this: launch QQ Music , log-in using your WeChat account (my WeChat account is linked to my SG phone number), switch language to Chinese (maybe not necessary but I did that, better to use Chinese language settings for WeChat and QQ Music).

QQ音乐 — 我的 — 会员中心 — click your name — 我的个人中心 — Pay for 付费音乐包 or 绿钻豪华版

Or similar. Since I already paid I see an option to “续费” in 会员中心.

Great! Glad to know that it is working for your Android DAP. I think better not to pay too Long because I worry it may not work in the future. 3months are just nice.

Edit to add: just installed QQ Music under Windows 10 laptop and log in using WeChat, the VIP is working there too.

itchy hands went to sign up for the Windscribe VPN subscription...

but at least for now I can confirm with you guys that you would be able to access Netflix USA without issues.. still testing out the speed tho.. it doesn't feel as fast as PIA to me.. but this is a cheap and tested solution for Netflix for now.

I'm happy with my one year Windscribe vpn for usd7.20. Netflix USA is smooth and streams at 1080p with no issue though it takes a little while to hit that resolution.

For Chinese Geo-blocked content, Unblock Youku browser extension and DNS were the way to go previously.

Then on rooted Android device, China Tunnel can be used (download from Google Play Store) for certain content.

Now Transocks (free ads supported version, monthly subscription version) and SpeedIn VPN (monthly subscription with one free server option) seem to be the more stable choices.

There is a paid subscription version of China Tunnel VPN coming out in Google Play Market (free account can only be used for 48 hours). Not so sure how good it is but the price is cheaper than Transocks and SpeedIn.

In the above page the author mentions China Tunnel VPN is already in Google market. Registration and subscription are on the following web site.

Edit: I believe other VPNs may be better option if they work. The above solutions are more specific at content in mainland China and not really for privacy or security.

will not meet your high expectations. :)

It seems to have very high speed, traditional VPN does not work that well.

The Chinese Youtubers are taking about 4K/8k YouTube and 4K Netflix like so simple matter with 飞机场 (SS/SSR/V2Ray/etc server repository)...

https://youtu.be/wsLObiA19rU
One of the servers has less than 10ms delay and support 8k YouTube.

Edit to add: popular SS/SSR 飞机场 with speed data and price, not cheap and often with data limit. A few low cost options exist for unlimited data and they are still like RMB25-35 per month or S$5-7 per month. Similar to the promotion price of Nord VPN one year plan at US$60 (70off coupon code as of 2 Dec 2018).

I was responding to batniss's enquiry about the speed for Windscribe VPN. :)

Good to know that.

Free Transocks works for me though — tested with Tencent Video, not an VIP so only up to 720p.
