For those using the Astrill router applet, there is a new version 2.9.2.
One difference I can see is a new checkbox to enable "Block internet if VPN drops".

The whatsnew page hasn't been updated. The desktop app is still on 2.9.1.

Edit:
From Astrill Twitter feed:

Astrill VPN ‏@astrill 13h
We are pleased to announce Astrill router applet 2.9.2. New version brings an option to block your Internet in case VPN drops.

I am not on switchVPN, but a cursory check on their website gives me a good impression.

They have a no logging policy and their own client software.

Take note that they only allow p2p traffic on the Netherlands server.

Hi... Yeah, they've got this refund policy too. Basically for me not much of a complain as i use this to watch BPL. Tried their customer support and it's pretty fast too.

So, can go ahead? Or have others to intro?

I did a little comparison.. see below. Might not be the most comprehensive though :) . The prices are all actual prices, not promotional. Disclaimer : I am using CyberGhost haha :p

Switchvpn

37.44 USD yearly (S$47.04)
- 5 countries
- PPTP / L2TP / OPENVPN / SSTP
- 1 connection
- P2P only 1 country - Netherlands

59.44 USD yearly (S$74.67)
- 22 countries
- PPTP / L2TP / OPENVPN / SSTP
- 2 connections
- P2P only 1 country - Netherlands

Airvpn

54 Euro yearly (S$92.48)
- 15 countries
- OPENVPN
- 1 connection
- p2p on all servers
- support port forwarding via their own client
- 4 Mbit/s download + 4 Mbit/s upload, guaranteed minimum allocated granted bandwidth.
- Seems to be ery uptight on security, which is good haha.

Private Internet Access

39.95 USD yearly (S$50.19)
- 10 countries
- PPTP / L2TP / OPENVPN
- 5 connections
- p2p on all servers
- SOCKS5 Proxy Included
- Based in USA, might be subject to govt takedowns, although having no logs will mitigate this somewhat.

Cyberghost

- 1 connection
- p2p on all servers except USA

depends.
say u need US server. den get the provider that gives you best connectivity to a US server, and best connection to whatever site u watching from.
there's moneyback guarantee, use and try. cannot ask for refund, go another provider.
a highly recommended provider A might not connect well to the site u going, end up it turns out crap.
so its best to test a few
u probably not using it for anonymity so all that secrecy thingy u can ignore..

PIA just upgraded their network so they have 1235 servers now with total output of 1.235 Tbps.

This is as fast as it gets on my 150mbps connection now.

IPVanish having promo for WC..25% discount all plans
IPVanish not bad I've renewed with them for my 2nd year. They have expanded to cover more than 40 countries and have servers in Saudi and Egypt so can watch WC over Bein Sports.

PIA were good when i used them. too bad they don't have the servers i need.

IPVanish software was very buggy when i did i trial with them last year. not sure about now. but speed was alright. kitsura, using those 2 servers can it sustain the HD or it will keep switching to SD?

I am on Astrill trial, did any of you guys subscribe to the StealthVPN or RouterPro VPN? I am using a basic DIR-605L router(not ddwrt or tomato), on a SH express 25mbps. Openweb give me 200-300kbps, Routerpro give me about 600-1300kbps.
Heard that stealth is based on pc, where routerpro is for router.. I do not understand what is that, can anyone assist?
Give such a weak router, does it mean i am better off with stealthvpn?

But pricing for Routerpro and stealth is a lot of different.
Main plan. 70USD
Routerpro is 10USD per mth
Stealth is 5USD per mth

its an applet u install into your router for handling your vpn right from the router instead of individual computers. vpn in router level makes ur router work very hard so performance can be affected.

stealthvpn is a feature that for better coverage in places like china where they ban most vpn companies.

basically both are different thing altogether.
