The 1mth SIBOR rate of 0.972% for Dec probably refers to the rate on 1 Dec 2015.

Anyway, citi uses daily 1mth SIBOR rate to calculate the interest for each day.

thanks for the clarification i was looking at the 31 dec rate.
seems like this is worth considering

I guess this would be the best to park any cash for students like me who have no salary?

What is this "From now till 31 December 2016, receive S$200 when you establish a Citi MaxiGain Savings Account with a Citi Priority relationship."?

I am thinking which is better:
A)dep 10k, sit out a year for highest interest then deposit more or
B)dep 50k within one month of acct opening for extra $200

I think B is better.

50k at eSaver 1.53% pa for 6 months gets $382.5 interest

50k at Maxi, say average 1.15% pa over 6 months, get $287.5 plus $200

I talk only. No money now :D

BTW, Citi Priority got fall below fee ? min balance ?

Think got some one mentioned must keep 50k for 6 months before can do any withdrawal so that the counter remain at 6, if not less than 6 months...the counter reset to zero...

I have apply online on 28th feb & went down to tiong bahru branch on 29th feb to open, then on 2th mar went to jurong branch to check... then till now boh news...:(:(:(

Exactly, that's what I thought. Else what's the point of going to a full service branch?

No idea but was told to wait. Maybe due to not an existing customer. My friend who was the existing customer get it done on the spot
