When it comes to our jobs and our livelihood, they tell us must leave it to the market forces, competition benefits us. With no challenge and competition we will become too complacent and lazy :s11:

But when it comes to them, no nooooo competition will stall the government.

RIGHT !!!!!! :s13:

Even when it comes to suppliers, we make sure we have back up, invite a minimum of 2-3 quotes and have alternatives as standby. But when it comes to them, no need? Single supplier, single quote, everything also PAP can liao? Who are they trying to kid? 3 years old? :s13:

ARE THEY ADMITTING THAT PAP IS COMPLACENT, ENTITLED AND LAZY, DON'T WANT COMPETITION IN THE PARLIAMENT ??

He cited the Government’s trust in the people during the pandemic years to keep to the Covid-19 protocols – such as staying at home and testing themselves when unwell – adding that Singaporeans would do what is right for the country.

“We trust that Singaporeans know what to do. So, likewise, in the election, I think it’s the same. Singaporeans know that especially in this geopolitical environment, with so many changes happening, you need a good, effective government,” he said.
LOL hahahahahahaa hee hee hic hic

He still want to bring up Covid? Very proud of it?

Remember how the MIW arrogantly proclaimed that mask wearing is sia xuay, accused people of depriving healthcare workers of masks - claimed that we don't have cotton wool from sheep to make masks - then did a dramatic U-turn as cases exploded?

Meanwhile, Taiwan quickly re-tooled their production lines and could become self sufficient in mask production really fast.

We have $2 trillion in reserves but all useless in a crisis. Think those beloved foreigners will really help us in a serious crisis?

He noted that there were now 12 opposition MPs in Parliament, up from two before the 2011 General Election, but said “it’s not a numbers game”.

The equilibrium is not determined solely by the ratio of ruling party and opposition MPs in Parliament, he added.

Many other factors come into play in deciding where the balance should lie and whether Singapore has become a mature democracy, he said.
PAP has 60% of vote share (and less than 50% in WP-contested constituencies), but opposition has only 10% of the seats to represent 40% of the popular vote. So what numbers they want?

PSP MPs are the most active in Parliament, ask the most questions and make the most speeches. Followed by WP. While PAP is the quietest of them all.

I don't want a govt that pushes thru things like reserved presidential election and then said nothing when a person who declared herself publicly that she is of another race stand uncontested.

Fear mongering again. Is it one LMW, and the whole parliament cannot function? The PAP had a TCJ go on how many years, and still the country ran.
