People are understood to have been left in shock by the death

A man has died after being gorged by the flaming horns of a bull set alight at a barbaric Spanish festival.

Set on fire, it smashed into the man on Sunday in the town of Vallada in Valencia, Spain, during celebrations in the name of a patron saint.
The man is saif to have had his spleen ruptured

Its horns were set alight when it turned over Fernadez and skewered him.

The young man had travelled from Almansa to take part in the day’s celebrations, but it came to a horrifying end after his encounter with the “toro embolado”, or “bull with balls”.

The bull had balls of fire attached to its horns

The bull had its horns attached with balls of flammable material - it is a common sight at bull-running events - and was set free to tear through the streets.

The severe pain of being on fire is understood to whip the bulls into a frenzy.

A minute’s silence has been held for Fernandez in the town’s plaza - the settlement has also reportedly sent its condolences to his friends and family

Most unfortunate for the man but this incident really drives home the point of the saying "He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword". RIP.
