A chair that outlasted a car coe... not sure if anyone can tahan sitting on a 12yrs old squeaking dusty chair... sometime it's more hygenie to just change a new one every 2-3 yrs.

hygiene part... aeron is much more easier to clean under the seat pan than my ergohuman.

Anyone using the Steelcase Series 1 chair?

Thinking of getting for my kids. If you could share any feedback that’ll be awesome.

Very good conditions, its a good buy.
Looks way better then my "koyah" 4yrs old chair... time to shop for a new one after covid-19.

Yeah surprisingly. No odour, no stains. Literally just paynowed a guy without ever meeting the seller nor setting foot on the warehouse to test out the chair.

Maybe I got lucky? It just happened to be a high-tier task chair that was within budget and needed for wfh (upgrading from solid wood dining chair :s13:)

Hi all,

I have been a silent envious reader of this thread.
Full of envy of so many of you splashing our the cash to get HM Aeron.
1.7 - 2.2k really no joke man.

I am planning to get a chair but if I can save some money, it will be great.

Any comparison reviews on the following chairs? Is HM Aeron really worth paying 1k more?

Steelcase
HM
Secret lab - I know about the peeling

Any other comparative reviews for us to consider?

Many thanks!

the best is go try it out yourself and let ur butt tell you how it feel.
secret lab is not really ergonomic so you should keep this in mind.
someone did a review for chairworker and it seem good.

another one you can consider is ergohuman, more adjustability compare to aeron but the current distributor is selling too much. i bought mine at $599 only.

check the sticker label.

Oh right, what a silly question to ask.

The sticker says made in USA.

Reason for asking is that the chair is shipped through/from China as there is a sticker on the box that states 佛山.

Xtra is made in China, vs PI made in USA.
Actually is it confirmed that Xtra ones are MADE in China? Cause I see a couple of claims in the previous pages that the Aerons were MADE in China and "confirmed" by Xtra personnel. But looking at Xtra's website, they mentioned the chairs were only ASSEMBLED in China because the assembly line US are affected by the lock down. ASSEMBLED in China and MADE in China are are completely different thing, as the prior can mean that the parts are still made in USA.

you are right, xtra is assembled in china, most likely the parts is made in USA.
assemble in china include QC which is quite important for longevity of the chair.

personal opinion, i still prefer made and assembled in USA even without warranty and save $500
