I live with very little luxuries in life, but youtube is quite essential for me as I am a visual learner. The amount of time I have saved from ads not disrupting a repair video and DIY fix (especially for household items) makes it worth it even if my family didn't use youtube. But of course, you will probably reply saying you don't need youtube, just use your brain or something like that. Good for you then.

then later stopped cos change policy can only use local card for renewal

the workaround for iOS lehcheh, must sync every 7 days or else reinstall again

so fug it, went to android and revanced all the way

Try Comet browser

Recently Youtube able to sense you using Brave browser, and will pop up message telling you that ad-blocker not allowed, then video went black

Comet browser also got ad blocker but seems like youtube have not yet target it. Since it is still a very niche browser that few people using

The added benefit is that Comet is a very good AI browser using Perplexity AI

i watch lots of youtube for education and entertainment.. hate ads

comes with youtube music so i can listen in my cat and i use youtube app on my apple tv to watch at home.. the interface is smooth..

also family plan can cater for a few users.. all in quite worth it

There are still ways to sign up youtube India and pay 299 for it. Search hard enough and your monthly payment is just 4.50 SGD.

better hope they are not reading EDMW. They are cracking down harder on this than the revanced thing. Revanced they already bombed it hard around 1 or 2 years ago, so probably won't go for that until it gets too widespread bah.

Actually I signed up for YouTube family premium using other country. It’s cheap shared among 5 family members. My kids are happy that they don’t have to view ads anymore.

perhaps I wasn't clear enough.

I am surrounded by family who barely give 2 f**ks about how technology works except for the convenience it provides and have a typical cheapo mindset that they will rather watch ads than pay for it out of their own pocket. However, as the unofficial tech expert of my family while also being the black sheep of the entire extended family, I have the most unfortunate role of not being able to refuse to help them when it comes to tech.

They may figure it out eventually but because I do such a good job with solving their problems, they default to asking me all the time instead of using their brains. One good example is my brother somehow bricking a Gshock watch because while changing the battery "he didn't think that a slight damage to the O-ring inside the watch would break the waterproof seal".

Getting youtube premium on the family option is about saving MY time. Not theirs.
