You can buy a fire extinguisher and put beside your TV box.

Actually, since the STB have USB port, can just get a cheap $5~$10 laptop fan and sit the STB on top of it to cool it.
Or those USB fan that have those soft fan blade.....

My Cheapo China STB works about 5~6 hours every evening. No issue is under normal ventilation.

In my experience indoor antenna is no good as the display will flicker at times. Only outdoor is the best

Sometimes, when turn on electronics devices, it will affect the signal for passive antenna.

Also since my STB is in the living room, the multi plug also have a Hair Dryer to it.
When turn on the Hair Dryer, the screen will freeze till it is off.

If u have the bottom cable point aka matv, this is the last world cup u'll be able to watch via that. After this, ur digital antenna may get tv1 if ur location is good enough to capture it.

NOTE:
The Above is regarding OLD ANALOG Signal or receiving TV1 signal from Malaysia.
Also, there's no such thing as Digital Antenna. Just to clarify abit if someone is confused.

Cable TV Point should not be mixed up with the OLD MATV point.
Older flats that have the OLD MATV points are lucky, can use your DVB-T2 STB or TV with the old MATV point to get Digital TV.

Cable TV point are different.

qoo10 have that $13.90 antenna with USB booster and listed 5m cable length (4m actual)
that one is usable and good value

go lower in price and those models lose the usb-powered signal booster function

it draw the 5volt power from there

it amplify the incoming weak tv signal before pushing it into the tv's antenna port , may be helpful for those borderline case

depends on your location.

if the signal is strong, the $2 antenna is as good as the $50 antenna.

I guess the location of your house and the antenna still play a vital part.
Should be able to pick up the digital signal for SG Inc TV channels.
Need a lot of luck with the JH TV channels.

The picture quality of sharp should be better than philips.
My advise is to take a look and take some photo of the display set before you buy.
You may want to get a set with higher refresh rate.
Can go other shop to take a look.
The store must be damn happy to clear out all their 32 inch and 40 inch TV this weekend for the coming world cup.
