so the rooftop antenna should be able to transmit both digital channel as well as the Indo and Malaysia channels to my T2 tv? No need to buy that new Draco or those those old type indoor antenna?

Another question, those indo and malaysian channels we recieve from rooftop, are they classified as digital or analogue?

DVB-t2 Lite profile is a subset of v1.3.1. So does it mean any receiver supporting Lite must be v1.3.1 ?

After waiting for 7 mths for hauppauge to replace my pctv nanostick T2 290e (the version which does not work with T2 1.3.1), I bought the tbs6821 instead and it works perfectly...

Please never buy haupaugge, overpriced and horrible support. The tech support gives the same nonconstructive excuses every month when I emailed them to check.

For bros looking for an amplified flat antennae, can consider from Amazon (qualifies for international free shipping if > 125 usd total purchase)
a) MOHU leaf 50 (aka ultimate) for 63 USD
b) Amazon basics extreme performance for 58 USD
c) Winegard FL5500A for 60 USD

I'm using them currently and can receive dvb-t/dvb-t2 signals without any fuss

The MOHU leaf was the first purchase, a bit overpriced and smaller than the other 2 competitors... I got it last year at 70 usd...

The amazon and winegard are essentially the same product. Just get the cheaper of the two. The antennae is bigger than the leaf and managed to get reception at my parents ground floor flat (surrounded by other flats) where the leaf failed. The leaf is working fine at my place though.

Hi morgankell, thanks for your informative post. I am looking for good antenna so I am really curious whether you are able to receive dvb-t/dvb-t2 signals from Indo or My with your Amazonbasics extreme active antenna which has a range up to 50 mile (~80km).

RecordTV.com provides a DVBT2 set top box on the cloud for free. Not only can you watch TV from ALL MediaCorp channels as they are airing, you can also watch them later. Storage is unlimited. Approximately 20TB (yes TB) per user...
Anymore sales posts and you will be banned.
You are warned.

Perhaps an outdoor antenna at a high location is more suitable for the task. Thanks anyway.

Nope. No socket in the room. The external antenna works fine.
I think its a waste of money to get this box just to watch that few hd channels.

you are better off with alternatives in the market.

managed to get it working with a small antenna, last time use for improving wifi signal..

I still dun understand how come it doesnt work with the MATV socket, theoretically it should, it seems like those channels were filtered out.

Enjoy free viewing of the FIFA world cup on the cloud with no need for the DVBT2 set top box. Watch all the world cup related shows free with live recording and streaming on an online portal called RecordTV

These are analog signals, not DVB-T2 signals. :s22:

Using a LG TV with DVB-T2, connected to the SCV point too and receive the same list of channels. You can connect your LG TV to an indoor antenna or the MATV point to receive DVB-T2 channels.

My points at home are all from cable SCV?
So can i use those point?

There's one point now used for starhub.

So my LG needs an external antenna? Anyway to get it cheap?

Now my resolution is quite blurry, on normal local tvs and SCV.
Is it normal? Can't utilise any HD at all.

In your case, you can only use an indoor antenna to receive DVB-T2 signals.
There's this indoor antenna which is quite cheap and it's available nornally at those neighborhood hardware store. There's another brand of antenna, Margon, available at NTUC Fairprice Xtra hypermarts, though at a slightly higher price. Another would be the Daiyo indoor antenna, though cost quite an amount at around $69.
