well. that depends how u read it.

u will also recognize how different ppl are and some managers are great while others are crap.
This logic is also applicable to employees and to yourself. So sometimes, dont need to beat yourself over it but you shld just assess whether the boss u r under is the right boss to work for.

My boss is ok, but my hod is not. So I draw the line between work that are helping my boss or work that is helping the HOD /dept. For the former, I will do, but for the latter, can drag i drag. So in the earlier part of this yr my HOD 画大饼trying to entice me to take up one additional portfolio that is for the dept and also to entice another capable colleague to take up a bigger role without any adjustment, both of us rejected her individually cause we know that it is not worth our effort. the additional portfolio she wants me to take up, can also be done by another 2 or 3 person but all of them lacks the experience and the holistic knowledge that I have to link all the dots together. The portfolio's result will benefit everyone in the dept, but then again, I dont like alot of them so there is no incentive for me to take up this additional portfolio and extra time and work to make their life easier.

2. Is it capabilities? Some people are just talented and have chance to shine and really deliver what they promised.

3. Is it just the whole job market/economy not doing well? So everyone are jaded and tired of just being a worker to enrich bosses.

How do y'all navigate work and do y'all find work tough?

I never enjoy working no matter which job, from the bottom of my heart I hate the idea we need to be at work just to exchange money and be nothing but a 牛马

But for survival, just have to deal with it yet is been 10 years I'm nowhere near promising and I feel ashamed of myself.

Also, honestly seems like doing well and promoting is really not as easy? Most people around me are also just doing average. (Maybe caz you are who you mix with, so I no chance mingle with people who are doing extremely well since I belong to behkan)

Kids immature so may not enjoys studying because they don’t studys to learns…they studys to get results in exams….

there is no joys in just getting a results for the sakes of it….

same as working…..how to enjoys if you no finds fulfilments in learning?

Learning can also leads to earning more moneys…..

Even if the big money never comes…one can enjoys accomplishing own milestones at work too….

if your work don’t allows you to does these….then maybe looks for another job that gives you more opportunitys….
