Wow thanks for such comprehensive review, definitely will be helpful for newbies like us. Just one question, for point 4, how many times can we eat at palace restaurant for lunch and/or dinner timing? Quite confused here. Thanks! We went for last Sunday cruise 21 November, Palace suite. Here are our feedback and updates:
1.) Sunday cruise boarding time is back to 2pm and Sunday lunch is back!!! So we quickly went for Teppanyaki at Umi Uma.
2.) Our Palace suite butler was great!! He is Mr Sang from Vietnam. His response is fast and efficient, fast hand fast leg! Kudos to his service! Though he did advised that next time we should have meet butler at room first once boarded instead of waiting till after lunch.
3.) Following are the meal timing for Palace Restaurant:
7am-11am (estimated) : breakfast
11am-12pm : comfort menu
12pm-2pm (estimated) : lunch
3.30pm-4.30pm : Hi Tea
4.30pm-5.30pm : comfort menu
5.00pm-7pm : Happy Hour
6.00pm-8.30pm (estimated) : Dinner
9pm- throughout the night : comfort menu
Tip 1 : Go for Happy Hour early at 5pm so that you can order snack bites from comfort menu, eg fries, fried chicken etc. to go with beer or other drinks.
Tip 2 : Go for late Happy Hour at 6pm and book your dinner at Palace Restaurant so that can have alcohol during dinner. Other Specialty Restaurants does not provide happy hour alcohol drinks.
4.) Our feedback on specialty restaurants:
Number 1 Favorite : Palace Restaurant!! The food is better, unlimited order from the menu, meaning you can mix and match in between western and chinese menu, can repeat order for specific item if not enough.
Number 2 Favorite : Mark Best steakhouse. We ordered steak set.
Least Favorite : teppanyaki at Umi Uma (beef set & lamb set) and Silk Restaurant ( cheese lobster, braised baby abalone with brocolli)
5.) Jacuzzi booking : Try to get jacuzzi 1 or 4 which is located at the front of the ship, facing the sea, super private and quiet. If cannot get, just go ahead and book no 2 or 3, near to Palace pool. When you are there, if no one using 1 or 4, can ask the staff to let you use for awhile till the guest arrive. Many guests kiasu book liao, never come.
6.) Stage show: as mentioned in previous post, the Magic show Lumiere not nice. More of a comedy, the magic acts are very few and not very impressive.
Jolly holly super nice! Highly recommended!
Overall, I think we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Oh thanks so much for the input! You can have lunch and dinner on the same day at Palace restaurant but not multiple times during the dining period as stated in point 3. But you may order many times or even mix & match between chinese & western menu set during the seating.
For specialty restaurants except palace restaurant, we can only dine in one time per trip during my trip.
Royal Caribbean

7. ) Laser show: 5mins show only. Best view at deck 19 but must go early as limited space due to safe distancing too.
8.) Sportsplex/ping pong/mini golf: Must book ourself during preregistration session which is from 9am to12pm at deck 18. It was all fully booked when we arrived at 10.30am.
Overall, I think we enjoyed ourselves very much.
food wise i will say RC, but if you booked Palace in DC, i will say comparable.I never sit cruise before. Royal carribean or Dream cruise is better? Mainly in terms of food and entertainment since I don't gamble.
Can say anything she want.Wah dunno how true this is:
https://mothership.sg/2021/11/denie...er-they-made-booking-cause-it-was-overbooked/
Didn’t she show the denial memo stating iver capacity? Unless that is fake. Then good luck to her.Can say anything she want.
I don’t see how that can actually happen.
the memo was actually shown. not sure why she was denied too. but the ART test result is very late at 625pm. but even so, the last boarding should be 7pm and that should not be the reason.Didn’t she show the denial memo stating iver capacity? Unless that is fake. Then good luck to her.
Feb to Mar comp cabin is not open yet. you can check in Dec.have anyone successfully upgrade to palace suite for wed - friday trip during november period at level 6 reception?
Is jan - Mar 2022 complimentary cabin open for reservation?
If you book your suite using public rates you can call DC hotline and see if they can help you on the cabin assignmentHello all
Didn't realised that check in can be as early as 90 days.
I just checked in for 30 Jan (Sun) cruise. ART test time auto-given is at 3.15pm to 3.30pm. Is there a way to change early ART timeslot? Wish to have the Sunday lunch on cruise
Btw Palace suite room no. is auto generated one ah? Can we choose our room no. ah?
Thank you!
Thanks!
Any idea if there's a link on overall DC layout with room numbers out there? Tried to find but in vain.
Usually I heard that people will book deck 17 as it’s nearer to palace lounge/restaurant.Thanks. Any deck or room no to avoid for Palace suite?
