not much to debate i feel

those enforcers were video'd at, of all parts, at the time where she start to knee and that sparked a whole lot of assumptions. You can tell from their expressions, "oh come on pls don't do this right here right now" and they really wanna get it done and over with.

How sensitive should they have handled this? is it you want them to also knee and tell the woman "auntie, you knee down lidat also no point, ok? you're still gonna get a charge for this, so just get up and move on, ok?" then give her a hug ah

Or maybe first time offender be fined $50-$100, higher for repeat offenders.
I think a fine for a first-time offence isn’t necessary. An offender like this auntie is unlikely to repeat the offence. Just like parking offences, typically a first-time offender would receive a warning.

Not so sure about parking offences.. But I was fined the very first time I kena a parking summon (parked longer than coupon displayed time)..

edit: traffic offences.

as for parking offences, i was given chance for parking on double yellow lines. Last time it was easier to appeal, i remembered i appealed successfully for a few different minor offences.

i would give warning first, the next time would be fine unless the offender is very guai lan
I ask you. If u kneel in front of lawrence wong. U think he would not give chance.? Give warning?

Let's take the cases of PS, if PS would to kneel infront (he wont), of LHL, or u think he would be spared?

IMO $2k is a bit too harsh. Perhaps they can impose a fine of $50-$100 for first time offender, and $2k for repeat offenders.
Cos people have died before. I think the enforcement actually started after that

Sorry he just got paralysed from neck down. I thought he died

i think they became very strict on cycling in overhead bridge after this

@Subprimer just fyi

I would think they are smart enough not to allow themselves to be manipulated to provide free medical to these people

But what if the first timer died or killed someone? Then people will say if u had stopped him the first time, this wouldn’t have happened

Why only ban at pedestrian overhead bridge? Should also include void deck. If got knocked at void deck should sue town council, LTA or both?
