whats bit.lyOcbc sms always has bit.ly address within them, for eg when their sms tells you of a promo such as credit card spend or balance transfer, this link of bit.ly will be there.
You don’t get it. Threaded sms is a design of your phone.Wat ancient? Thats ridiculous. Things improve over time. Nothing new.
Thread as in the sms looks like it came from ocbc and the other previous sms from ocbc are in the same sms thread. Telco is at fault here.
For transaction signing, they don’t use OTP. They use the customer private key. But all these are transparent to the customer. Why don’t even need OTP?
tot there are 2 type of OTP
1 is for login
The other for transaction signing
U are correct. It is not about sms. It is the phishing scam that is more concerningThe crux is phishing.
It's not so much on SMS only.
Someone can fall for another phishing attack and key in the pin from token.

Changing password should have OTP as well. Above a withdrawal limit should have OTP.....local banks heck care about securityWhy don’t even need OTP?

If firewall blocks, users cannot approve anymore. Unless someone removes this firewall rule .Yea. But confirm some will still approve and allow traffic
What suggestions suggested here that were implemented by them? Then how come 2 ppl immediately go test after reading your post and need leh? Why so many suggestions listed by ppl here were already implemented but not known to them?
Because it is DUMB that ppl who traded their vigilance for convenience are now blaming banks for trading security for convenience. Just waiting to see which ones here whining about existing measures will be next despite all the learning experiences
Is it? How come cannot reply to that sms? Not from the company? The sms thread is neither OCBC nor telco fault lei. Is your phone OS. Is it time to sue android or apple?
Ancient phones where got threaded sms system?
Most of these are configurable by the customer.Changing password should have OTP as well. Above a withdrawal limit should have OTP.....local banks heck care about security

Because the phone number tied to the ‘OCBC’ label may be non-existent.Is it? How come cannot reply to that sms? Not from the company?
I didn't say they scam proof. But we need to evaluate based on what has happened.Woah so Posb confirm scam-proof. I see. Wait and let head OCBC do their best too I guess?
Isn't it the case that even if you deregister paynow / decrease transaction limits but as long as the scammers are able to gain access to your account, they can still reactivate paynow / increase transaction limit and transfer out right?I have deregister pay now liao. Better safe than to be sorry
u think OCBC is stupid ? if the customer is a scammer then OCBC got to bear all ? precisely is user fault to click it ...
